Not knowing who Micheal Shermer is considering the genre of podcast you do is a level of self owning ignorance usually reserved for small children. Shocking, really really shocking.

I absolutely love listening to you guys! You cover such a wide range of tricky and uncomfortable topics and somehow make them easy to listen to by mixing humour and knowledge perfectly. The off-topic chats are always a highlight too, they make it feel like we’re all part of the conversation. And I think I might have a little crush on Dave! Keep it up, chaps — love the show!

My favourite podcast and has been for a few years wasn’t sure where to jump on but listened to the Chris Benoit episode and have been listening ever since. Would recommend to anyone it’s got everything you need, drinking, laughs and murder.

I’ve been listening to these guys for the last few months and it’s so good. Considering the heavy subjects they chat about they keep it light and the perfect amount of humour.

I listen to this at work, and I think people think I’ve got some mental issues as I’m constantly just bursting out laughing to myself listening to the banter. Don’t get me wrong, the episodes are well researched, informative and delivered in a professional (?) way. But it’s the over the top jokes, Ian’s constant laughter and mikes ridiculous statements, mrs hilderbrand, booty hole booty hole booty hole, and countless other call backs that literally make my day!

Favourite episodes are the boys on the tracks, absolutely insane story, and the missing 411 .

Now, I have listened to a fair few true crime/paranormal podcasts, but even so I really enjoy this show. I’ve not come away from an episode having learned something. I really enjoy the line they draw between being silly about things, but also respect. It may not be for everyone, but between the jokes and good amount of research, I find that it manages to toe the line between fun and informative in an oddly refreshing way. The only thing that has ever irritated me is when they say Scottish places wrong, but considering… Scotland, I can’t really blame them. As a patreon, I’m looking forward to more! The wife recently introduced me to this podcast and after listening to other “true crime” related podcasts she had recommended I was sceptical. This has blown any other podcast I have ever listened to out the water and it has started a new addiction. The different topics mixed with you guys humour is brilliant, and I can’t stop listening. I love a true crime podcast ( who doesn’t) and I’ve listened to many but hands down you won’t get any better than this even the subjects I don’t find that interesting like aliens and men in black ( sorry Ian ) I still listen because I just love their banter and the dad jokes!!!! Listened to a lot of mundane podcasts in the past but this one is most definitely not one of these, wow! These three guys (Mike, Ian and Dave) bring the laughs, the consistency and the fun to what would be a not so fun topic, Ian’s research is impeccable, Dave’s general knowledge is unrivalled and mikes, well Mike tries I guess! This is my favourite podcast I have found so far, and I’ve been for a looking a long time. Well researched and informative, sensitive to victims while not being afraid to rip the absolute piss out of the perpetrators and deservedly so. I only started listening to podcasts about a year ago and listened to loads that I just didn’t like for one reason or another, then I found one I loved but having caught up with it, I needed something else to keep me going between their releases. WELL! I gave Necronomipod a listen and now I’m well behind with the other podcast because I’m obsessed with catching up with these guys back catalogue! The episodes and topics are thoroughly researched (big up Ian!) and they offer their opinions on subjects in an open and honest manner. On the odd occasion they aren’t sure about something, they immediately look it up and they definitely aren’t scared to stand corrected or admit they didn’t know something - an issue I’ve had with a few other podcasts including the one which was my favourite. Yes, they joke and laugh but these are subjects which some times need to be made more bearable. They aren’t disrespectful, they talk almost as if we’re a group of mates down the pub, having a drink (or several!) and chatting about news stories or documentaries we’ve watched recently. They are personable, clearly have respect for people, lovely guys with a great sense of humour and are clearly in awe of the success they’re having with the podcast. I’ve been a true crime buff for a very long time but Ian’s research and knowledge has covered new areas of cases I’ve heard multiple times. They are give a different insight and angle on things without being constantly bias. I work late at night, on my own usually, these guys make me smile and laugh! Keep it up guys! Hands down my favourite podcast. The episodes are very well researched, and I always walk away learning something new from cases I’m quite familiar with. And of course the banter is fabulous! Meshes perfectly with my diabolical sense of humour. Don’t change a thing guys.

If you are easily offended move along this is not for you . Three guys having a beer/ drink discussing some absolutely fascinating cases. Not too long and not too short, the level of detail is balanced on each case.

I am female and previously only listened to female led true crime podcasts and god I have been missing out.

These three are the dudes you didn’t realise you needed in your life .

This podcast is hosted by down-to-earth lads, Ian, Dave and Mike who talk about true crime, missing people, mysteries along with cult movies, TV and wrestling thrown in for good measure. It’s like being in the pub with your mates: endless, interesting and funny conversations that never takes itself too seriously and is frequently littered with belly laughs along the way, with well researched genuine topics to keep you thoroughly entertained!

I am not a massive fan of noodles, therefore I enjoy the fact Dave doesn’t use the catchphrase “oodles of noodles”… 👌

I literally cannot listen to any other podcast anymore… These guys make me laugh so much whilst also researching topics brilliantly. I also love when they just rip into people who leave bad reviews over pointless claims😂.

What’s with all these podcasters trying to be funny? Just tell a decent story without the crudeness or juvenile jokes

Over the past 3 or 4 years I’ve listened to more or less every true crime podcast available, but somehow had completely missed this one until a couple of weeks ago when I came across it by accident.

Firstly, the level of research on the stories they cover is second to none. The episodes are always very detailed and laid out in a clear manner. On the rare occasions the guys don’t know something, I like that they just look it up there and then to clarify.

The chemistry between the hosts is fantastic. I can imagine some of their humour wouldn’t be to everyone’s taste, but they definitely have lines they won’t cross and it’s obvious all three have solid moral compasses. I probably have very little in common with these guys (apart from maybe drinking beer) but it still feels like I’m listening to three of my good mates having a chat. I even feel like I’m in on some of the running jokes.

One other thing I think is the mark of a great podcast is that I can listen to episodes on subjects I’ve heard elsewhere numerous times (Bundy, Kemper etc.) but still learn new details and remain interested in what the hosts have to say.

I genuinely believe that this is easily the best of the genre out there at the moment. I’m pretty rapidly working my way through the back catalogue and look forward to new episodes.

I listened to 5 or 6 episodes and couldn’t listen to any more of the misogynist, disrespectful, trying too hard “humour”. Try Morbid or Sinisterhood for spooky and dark laughs that don’t require you to drop IQ points.

Listened to the entire podcast, earliest episode to the latest one and after finishing it tried other true crime podcasts. Couldn’t even get through one episode of anything else (LITERALLY) because I started missing the humour and voices of these three idiots.

Absolutely love listening to Necronomipod- can’t wait for the episode to come out every Sunday. So thorough and sympathetically done, the humour always gets me. Really hope you guys go on to amazing things, best of luck!

I had no idea Ian had Bipolar I, as a listener who also has Bipolar I it was really refreshing to hear someone else talk about it and psychosis/ the experiences that different people can have. I previously gave 4* because Mike can be annoying AF at times ( sorry Mike) but upping to 5. At the risk of sounding patronising, I was already really impressed by Ian’s research and work on the Podcast but this deserves so much more respect knowing he does all of this whilst also having Bipolar. Keep up the amazing work guys!
