A really great podcast to listen to. You can tell by listening to Sarah and Heather that they love their job and genuinely care about the people they treat. Mental health is such an important part of our well being. I had CBT and EMDR with Heather at Yorkshire Psychotherapy and she was brilliant. I was in such a mess at the start and after almost a year of therapy I was back to my normal self. Heather taught me how to take care of my mental health and deal with issues in a more constructive and “ mindful” way. It’s an ongoing process but so worth it. I am happier and more content now than I have ever been. My severe anxiety issues are not severe anymore. Like Heather and Sarah mentioned in the podcast, you learn to catch yourself when you start to ruminate or catastrophise. You bring yourself back to the present moment and stop the negative thoughts before they take hold.
