Entertaining and thought provoking
Peter McCormack is an interesting chap, he’s a self professed entertainer more than he is a journalist or Bitcoin expert (check out Peter’s other excellent podcast What Bitcoin Did), but I think this approach works well. When you know all the answers, it’s difficult to ask those all important questions.
You do need to be inquisitive, and impartial, and Peter comes across as both. I’m not sure about the name Defiance, but I can see why it was chosen as it is attention grabbing. A natural progression from WBD and an opportunity to explore more libertarian/ individualist concepts and ideas, presented is a ‘podumentary’.
In less than five years time Pete is going to be super famous and a household name with the kids. Early bitcoin podcasters will become bitcoin royalty.

Superb journalism
Was drawn here for Ghislane Maxwell story but will now listen to all of them. Great investigative reporting that is truly gripping to listen to. Highly recommended.

A light in the dark
Defiance is doing the important work of diving deep into the heart of global issues, broadcasting the full story, often abstracted away and condensed by hearsay and social media headlines. Peter and crew do a wonderful job of exploring the big picture, the background, and contextual nature of these issues and leave you with an informed perspective. There is evil out there hiding in plain sight and it is crucial that these people are exposed. A great series and I can’t wait for more.

Fight the power
I’ve been listening to What Bitcoin Did for a few years and decided to give this a go. Completely different but amazing. I like the topics Peter decides to highlight, I enjoyed the one with his friend in South America. The Steve Wankurchin series was good and the recent 4 part series on The Ghost Inside was so emotional. It has been my highlight podcast of 2020. I didn’t know the band before this but I’m now getting tickets for Brixton in 2021. Thank you.

Listened to my first episode of Defiance and loved it! Pete’s humility and conversational interview style makes an enjoyable listening experience. I only wish the episode had been a little longer. I’ve hit the subscribe button and will be digging in the archives for my next fix 👍🏿
