Hmmmm not sure

I was really excited to listen to this but found it a bit wishy washy. I wanted more facts about the ladies’ lives to really connect to them - e.g what drugs were in the bra? What drugs was she addicted to? How did they actually feel at certain points? Not what happened but how they felt when it did.
Must agree with a previous reviewer that this is no way near as good as you, me and the big C... yet (for a start if a dog had barked throughout an interview you could be sure that any of the you, me, c presenters would have made that hilarious - it was just ignored in this?!). I’ll listen once more to give it another chance.
Congratulations to the girls on their recovery.

Honest, insightful & inspiring

Refreshing honest, insightful, inspiring and what helps this from getting too heavy are the presenters sense of humour. This helps me better understand people close to me who have struggled with addiction and I hope it helps to challenge stigma. I’ve subscribed and can’t wait to hear more.

Confusing

I was really looking forward to this but found it quite confusing to listen to. I think it would have been good if they had done an introduction and told people about themselves. I don’t think the dynamic between the two ladies works. Found myself zoning out soon enough. Sadly doesn’t compare to the big c and me.

Warm-hearted and honest

Society has definitely been missing this podcast. As someone trying to support an addict, listening to this was incredibly comforting and enlightening. Really looking forward to listening to different perspectives throughout the series.

First Episode

Good work ladies. Great insight not only to addiction, but the addictive traits and mental health that could lead to serious problems. 👍

Bare and honest, gripping stuff.

Bare and honest account of the girls ‘rock bottom’. Can’t wait to hear how they’re coping in recovery and to hear what other exceptional guests they have onboard bringing their expertise.

Hooked

Being Jades Dad I obviously am going to be biased, however I honestly believe that this is a fantastic opportunity to help others in similar situations as well as debunk the stereotype and stigma.
Well done both of you and keep going from strength to strength.

What a fantastic listen. Taking the stigma out of addiction is crucial in helping people realise their own issues. Thanks very much. I’m looking forward to the whole series.

Refreshingly honest

As someone with a family member who suffers with addiction, it is refreshing to hear it spoken about so openly. It is also interesting to hear from the perspective of an addict and has made me consider my feelings on addiction and the impact it has had/continues to have on my family. Thank you!
