News moves at a breakneck speed that it’s almost impossible to keep up while also managing your own daily commitments. So what if you could hear a summary of 3 of the stories on everyone’s lips from this week? Journalist Diyora Shadijanova (@TheDiyora on Twitter), will bring the stories to life, joined by 2 guests every week, to discuss and dissect the topics at hand. #YourBroccoliWeekly
Don’t be deceived. This is not a news pod. It is full of opinions voiced without challenge and no evidence cited to back these.

Evidence
Do you have any real evidence about your statements about Starmer and rape prosecutions. It would be good to know that this isn’t a bit of fake news. Thinking that Starmer might have been DPP when he actually was doesn’t suggest a very rigorous approach to fact.
This broccoli could be bad for your health.

Promising
I really love this. It’s refreshing and informative. However, the guests on the 2019 review episode, whilst posing some very valid arguments lost their objectivity entirely at points and failed to hold each other to account. Too many moments in the episode where opinion was mistaken as fact. In the “post expert” age we deserve commentators that have enough strength of character to call out bad judgement and assumption.

Finally!
Really refreshing to finally see a podcast that tackles issues other news outlets are afraid to address - even better that it is explained in a relatable format. Fully believe podcasts like this can help tackle partisan dealignment in the youth of Britain.

Exactly what podcasting needs!
Really interesting show which addresses so many important issues rather than skirting around them! What podcasts need!

Nailed it
Wow I learned a lot, I loved the mix of facts and opinion. Really nice balance. It’s a nice change for U.K. news to be centred and getting a wider range of voices than you usually find on these types of shows.

Perfectly formed goodness
This show has just the right information to discussion ratio. I get easily bored listening to lenghly news programs but this podcast keeps it easy to listen to and left me brain energy to think about afterwards!

New favourite news show!
I’ve been looking for ages for a relatable and easily digestible news show that doesn’t leave me more confused than when I started - and I’ve finally found it! Diyora is a really relatable host and I never feel talked down to, which is really important for me. Can’t wait to hear more!
