Really informative but not full on or heavy, the hosts manage to get really good guests, discuss a huge range of topics where I’m always learning yet find it a pleasure to listen to.

Your podcast is open, honest and very refreshing! Thank you for talking about these issues - I didn’t know what the peri-menopause was either! I just thought I was going mad - still do! I’ve sent the link to all my friends. I loved Marian Keyes podcast; it made me laugh and cry

Enlightening, engaging, accessible, heartwarming.

A really refreshing mix - from serious and educational to lighthearted and hilarious.
There are so many podcasts aimed at mums with small children, so it’s fantastic to find one exploring the challenges of being a parent to teenagers and beyond.
It covers so many topics that I wanted to know about - plus others that I didn’t know I needed to know.
Will be recommending this podcast to my friends.

I’ve been recommending this to all my female friends of a certain age and it is brilliant. Course perhaps I shouldn’t listen to this on dog walks when laughing or smirking to yourself can make you look like a mad woman, but hey what’s an additional affliction at this age 😂

Informative, witty & highly entertaining. I found myself laughing out loud on the tube. Oops. Going forward I’ll listen in private. Thank god I can now lay blame on my perimenopause state! Tis not my fault.

Just finished Episode 1 Season 2. Made my run fly by and very emotional in a good way because it’s just like listening to very good friends or sisters. More importantly it always breaks new ground, especially on careers, parenting, perimenopause and menopause that just isn’t out there already. If you listen you’ll understand why I laughed out loud, given that as I left the house to go on said run I pointlessly implored my 16 year old to “do something more productive and get out of bed!”. Finally, just like Lorraine, I can live without the hugs but not my lovely office camaraderie. The new normal is not ok!

Thank the lord for this podcast!

I like the podcast and find it very informative, but I can’t tell Lorraine and Trish apart. Their voices are too similar!
Also, in this #metoo age, some of the slobbering over hot, male personal trainers seems out of touch. If the situation were reversed and it was two male Times writers doing the same about female personal trainers there would be an outraged call for their heads!

Brilliant. Just what I needed. What a tonic. Thank you

Your podcast inspired me to go back to GP and ask for a third referral back to the cardio team who took me off HRT after a heart attack 18 months ago. Total hysterectomy 12 years ago meant HRT kept me functioning but I had no idea how much until I was told I could no longer take it. As well as the shock of a MI there was the even bigger shock of life without HRT...night sweats, day sweats, unable to sleep, no memory, aches and pains, boobs seemed to sag(!), prolapse, wrinkles, gave up job as couldn’t cope....basically you name it I got it all within about 2 months.
Hearing the Consultant you had on talking about how essential oestrogen is and how it isn’t the cause of all evils got me researching and realising that I should be able to HRT because I was on oestrogen only. Thankfully the cardiologist has finally agreed and I am pleased to say things are on the up turn again! I try not to think about the last 18 months and focus on the now and the future. I hope that the one size fits all mantra of heart attack = no HRT will one day be reviewed without women having to fight to get their lives back.

Thank you from my sick bed

I love this podcast. Having recently discovered the hard way that I’m peri menopausal (thought I was going mad / anxiety off the charts / all the anger and rage) I’m now getting medical help & therapy help from the right people and getting a huge dose of laughter from listening every week. Thank you!

Thanks!

Love this podcast. I’m 43 with 2 adolescent boys. Listening to you and your guests is both funny and enlightening. I’m so glad this conversation is now being had;giving women like me a heads up, giving us the information that has otherwise been severely lacking and most importantly empowering us at a time when we feel like we’re loosing control. I’m not on the decline! Lorraine, Trish and your guest have made me feel like this is in fact the next episode... x

I’m not a podcast listener but I’m slowly trying. I find I’m doing too many things at once & therefore keep missing chunks so have to keep re-playing, takes forever! Anyway I love this, feel like it’s totally made for me. I follow Lorraine Candy on Twitter & always read her column in the Sunday Times Style magazine. She always seems to hit the nail on the head, I feel like I could chat for hours with both her & Trish. Thank you for making this and bringing Midlife more to the forefront of everyone’s minds with wisdom & humour.

When a friend recommended Postcards to me, I had yet to delve into the world of podcasts (as ever, always late to the party!) Well what a revelation. Trish and Lorraine, you’re like two trusted friends, thank you for your honesty...I laugh out loud whilst listening at the gym. In addition you’ve opened up the whole world of podcasts to me.

Can totally relate! Brilliant. Thank you so much.
