Description

For nearly half a century, Bill Cosby brought warmth and laughter into hearts across the country, cementing his image as “America’s Dad.” But he also led a dark, secret life preying on women. The comedian carefully coaxed each one into feeling safe and cared for, then left them to pick up the pieces of their lives. It all started with Andrea Constand. She carried the burden of being the only one of the 60-plus accusers whose case could be tried in a court of law. Now, she's telling her side of the story, along with firsthand accounts from more than a dozen survivors, jurors and prosecutors. From the Los Angeles Times, and hosted by investigative reporter Nicki Weisensee Egan, "Chasing Cosby" is the definitive take of the rise and fall of Bill Cosby. New episodes released every Tuesday.

Hopefully this podcast will help in our proactiveness in looking out for predatory tell-tale signs, teach us that perpetrators are often people we trust, help us in encouraging the notion of coming forward if you have been sexually assaulted, and remind us that they (Bill Cosby, Jimmy Saville... how many more??) only win when people don’t speak out. A very well made podcast and well done to all the women who participated and showed such courage in coming forward.

Interesting.

As hard as it is to listen to this podcast is well delivered and seems factual.

For those of us who grew up in the 80s and loving the Cosby Show - globally - I am not in the USA and we loved BC.. this is a shameful episode of our history.. and a reminder that violence and abuse of power is close. This is harrowing and the women brave enough to stand up to this guy are amazing and deserve to be heard. Listen to this exposure of an evil man who, I hope, serves his remaining days in prison. He deserves nothing less. Tom UK

How anyone could get away with this is unbelievable, however more and more these days people feel strong enough to speak out about the past and expose those who took advantage of their power no matter how famous they are. Those who we’d least expect, those whose persona was a facade to cover the sickness within. What makes this worse is that he had enablers.
Very interesting podcast, just hearing each woman’s story, the similarity, the utter humiliation and the impact this abuse had on their lives is harrowing. Cosby’s self denial, trying to ignore his acts or pretend they didn’t happen shows how calculated and callous he really is.
