If we want acupuncture to survive, we must deprofessionalize. With a decade of research, I outline the reasons why the acupuncture profession needs to deprofessionalize. Not from an emotional appeal but through socioeconomic evidence, policy, and for a sustainable future, I present a five-point plan to reshape the profession that benefits all communities in America.
