One Life Left is a radio show about videogames, only not really. We love games but we take them precisely as seriously as they deserve. 99% nonsense and 1% heart-stopping brilliance, they are all supposed to be fun and so are we. We have news, reviews and special guests, sure, but we also play game-related music and we have stupid game-related features like inappropriately dark-hearted poetry, gambling tips and chart news from a market stall. We're on the wonderful Resonance 104.4FM at 7PM every Monday and on the internet all the time, ever, right here.
This isn’t quite the quality of pickaxe collection. Loosen up and have a little preshow shake up. I have a lot of hope because the content and discussion is spot on. Echos too sound is a little off at time.

What’s happened to Ann?
Love the show and I’m not a gamer but what’s happened to Ann?

Been listening to this since it started and it’s the highlight of my week.

The Best Radio Show
Having listened to hundreds of hours of OLL I've learned a huge amount and had loads of laughs. I'd highly recommend it for anybody who not only wants to keep up to date with current events in the gaming industry but who enjoy light-hearted discussions about games old and new.
The show has Super Special Guests who bring something new each time they're on and there's (usually) great chemistry with the three hosts.
On top of this, there are top-notch regular features. Whether you're looking for a medical post-mortem of your childhood heroes or you're in the mood for some angsty poetry about games and the depths of human depravity, OLL has you covered.

Incredible
This is the best recipe book I have ever encountered it's full of recipes for amazing Spanish cuisine

My new favourite gaming podcast
Lively and funny commentary with a consistent pacing throughout (I suppose you need it if you only have an hour of airing-time). Love the (actually good) chip-tune music breaks too. I am simply obligated to give this podcast a solid 7/10.

Superb - and British!
Too much of my podcast space is taken up with Americans arguing about video games - OLL is clever, funny, professional (what with being a radio show first and a podcast second) and never boring. If they dumped Craig The Rage I'd have to give them six stars.

Yum!
What OLL lack in professionalism (sorry guys!) is more than made up for in charm and insight. Great guests, interesting discussions, and, mainly, focus on innovative and interesting gamey stuff. Top work!

One Life Left is a good thing.
Highly entertaining, original, inventive and leagues ahead of the competition, GMA Award Winning* radio show and podcast One Life Left is by far the best video game (ish) broadcast on the planet.
The warmth and honesty of the presenters, plus the weird and wonderful regular contributors, make listening to a new episode of OLL feel just like catching up with your mates down the pub, only this lot actually know what they're talking about (some of the time). It's also very funny, and often has me giggling away on the train home, making me look even more stupid than usual. So yeah, thanks for that OLL.
In short, it's AMAZING. Buy one today.
*2009. Every year since has been irrelevant.

This is my favourite podcast, in the world ever and I don't even play videogames.

Fantastic
The unique and wonderful one life left. Genuinely funny, excellent contributors and super special guests. All tied together by Ste, Simon & Ann. The current "No Continues" videogame bookclub is a superb look at the evolution of games. Smart, funny and interesting. Lovers of simperingly regurgitated press releases or fratboy Fuckwittery need not apply. A must for gamers. 7/10

The perils of complacency...
Urbane and inconsequential chit-chat that was once worth listening to. Listen now, however, and you'll be hard-pressed to recall ANY of what you've just heard. It disperses instantly in the air like a mild and inoffensive odour.

Excellent podcast
It's a radio show and a podcast that's supposed to be about games, but is really about a bunch of nice people talking randomly (sometimes about games), playing video-game inspired electronica, and having a good time. One of the best podcasts around, really good.
Update: the show continues to improve, I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Further update: New season is brilliant, need some more now please

A great show
Lots of great features, interesting guests and the specials are not bad either!
One of only a few podcasts I go out of my way to listen.

Funny, smart, great contributors and good hosts. The only problem is there's never enough, the schedule being somewhat erratic.

Easily the most entertaining gaming podcast out there
Just a fantastic and most entertaining podcast. Not just the games reviews, which are usually tongue in cheek, but also the fact that they are playing cool 8 bit tunes and have lots of special features. Highly recommended! (also: Ann Scantlebury's news, email and website announcements are instant win!)

YES
I'd give it 7 out of 10.

Awesome
The latest series has reached new heights, with the music and poetry being genuinely great. They are even talking about games this series! Game for a laugh feature - not so much
2009-06-16
Very Brilliant
A veritable smorgasboard of loveable presenters, great chiptunes and features that are so funny that you'll find yourself Laughing Out Loud on public transport, then trying to regain some composure as EVERYONE ELSE ON THE TRAIN IS STARING AT YOU. With segments like News, Letters and Reviews, it's like having your favourite games magazine pumped into your ears. Seven out of Ten, of course.

Literally the only podcast I subscribe to
Obviously.

I've tried a few episodes, but haven't made it to the end of one yet!
I listen to roughly 9 or 10 different video game podcasts every week, but this just doesn't seem to catch with me. I have listened to three or four different episodes as the 'main man' wasn't there on the first one I listened to. It just seems to be almost childlike compared to some of the depth and intelligence out there on others.
The girl who reads the news (Ann) doesn't even know what she's reading half the time. Although she does have a nice voice, she obviously isn't a gamer!
I keep wanting to like it, but it's definately more silly than serious, and with all the great podcasts out there (GFW, 1up Yours/FM, Major Nelson, Joystiq, Retronauts, etc) which are humorous and serious in equal content, I think that time is running out on my iPod for One Life Left.
2008-10-22
Not worth the download
The hosts of the show tend to mumble on to much about non relevent issues to do with videogames and not focus on detailed game reviews and other game related content in depth. This podcast sounds very poorly put together,

One of the best
Uniquely british and hilariously funny.

The Kings of UK Gaming
Following in the footsteps of Bits and VideoGaiden, One Life Left provides a distinctly British take on gaming. Manages to be funny and informative and with just an hour every week it always leaves you wanting more.

Better than HL2, TF2 and MGS combined
Entertaining, funny, and seemingly underrated/under reviewed on iTunes, OLL is the definitive podcast for an absences of news or innovation, but with plenty of laughs to be had. If you want accurate, cold, hard facts, look elsewhere. If you are a human and like being entertained, press the "subscribe" button. Now.
2007-03-21
Simply Awesome
Actually, OLL's awesomeness is complex and beguiling. If you're not subscribed, you really should be. Amazing features, breathtaking commentary, and Ann "Scoops" Scantlebury. It's a 3-hit combo that'll knock you for six. See you!

I am the king of Virtua Tennis 3
I'm not even joking. Don't even try and take me on.
2007-03-07
My favourite podcast.
On the other hand it's also my least favourite as I don't listen to anything else. Seriously! I know.
Highlights include Tony Continue, Ms Snacman, Craig 'The Rage' McClelland and that mad, stumbling rush at the end as the presenters realise they're about to be kicked out of their London studio by the rude woman who's on next and issue hasty, lovelorn goodbyes.
7/10. Just kidding!

The best videogames podcast out there.
Sick of listening to a bunch of kids play "my first radio show" under the pretence of a games podcast? Confused by the business-to-business nature of some of the other offerings here on iTunes, which tend to forget that games are supposed to be fun and not about money? Then subscribe to One Life Left, easily the best hour of videogames radio you'll hear every week. Funny, irreverent and informative, it's a show which constantly surprises, but never disappoints.
