Description

Join us as we hubble, bubble, toil, and trouble our way through aspects of midwifery, birth, lactation, and womanhood. We tackle and discuss a variety of topics within the sphere of womanhood, birth, and lactation and what this entails in today's society. We want to be able to share in the strengths of women gathering together and being more informed, for their birth, their feeding experience, and the transition into knowing ourselves better. This is the podcast to connect us as a greater circle of women united.

Just What the birth world needs

All of this - I’m so grateful for these amazing podcasts - the content is wonderful and as a doula and perinatal yoga teacher supporting women in pregnancy birth and motherhood its so refreshing to hear content that shares best practice, research and experience with historical context and holistic approaches that put the woman at the centre of her experience rather than the system.
Thank you thank you thank you!

With woman.....

As a student midwife studying at Northumbria University, I met Dr Rachel Reed! I have so many fond memories working with Rachel! Who was always so friendly!
In 2004 I was a 3rd year student and Rachel a qualified midwife I remember doing an antenatal class as part of my degree and Rachel always putting me at ease when she mentored me!
Like Rachel I was a teenage mum and also thought I was never bright enough to go to University and study anything let alone my dream job of midwifery!
But in 2001 age 33 and a mum of 3 children I started my degree and loved every minute of it and qualified in 2004!
How proud was I that me a girl from the West End of Newcastle with no other sibling who had attended University had completed my degree and got my dream job at The Royal Victoria Infirmary!
Just listened to the first episode and already looking forward too the next one!! Keep up the good work ladies ......
