Big Juicy Creative is the show which nurtures your busy creative soul, so you thrive personally and professionally.
You could be in a ‘creative’ career, like marketing or the arts, or maybe you wish you did something more creative. This podcast will show you how, if you approach your life with creativity – a bit more openness, curiosity, self-expression, imagination - it will become bigger, juicier and more meaningful.
Creativity is about way more than painting or poetry, and this show brings you inspirational tales from beyond the creative department, from farming to fractions.
Your host, Suzy Bashford, is a freelance journalist, who writes about creativity among other things, a workshop facilitator and a speaker. As well as interviews, she’ll bring you shorter, solo podcasts where she sums up and test-drives the advice she’s given, reporting back to you with her trademark honesty.
Suzy is a mum on a mission to unleash our collective creativity so we can solve the world’s big problems… and we need buckets of creativity for that, so please get listening!

GREAT LISTENING
I felt like a had fabulous company at home over the weekend when I listened to BIG JUICY CREATIVE. Super guests Suzy and all with something positive and thought provoking to bring to the table. I smiled lots, resonated often and felt boundaries that I didn't know I had being stretched. For me that is good podcast listening and it a winning “go to”.

Inspiring
I’m a designer and was intrigued. I listened with an open mind not sure what to expect. It wasn’t long before I was lost in the interviews, smiling, laughing and I had several ‘aha’ moments where the creativity inspirations hit me. Loved all the interviews and can’t wait to hear more. ... to hear your voice Suzy! I’ve listened to the official and unofficial trailer and am all ears. I started a diary in lock down and completed my first tapestry - both of which gave me such pleasure. Don’t want to let that slide as ‘real life’ intrudes. This will help!

Totally brilliant!
Just listened to eipsode 3 all about Lynbreck Croft and loved it! I get bored easily but this kept my attention for the full episode, and loved the discussion as to whether or not Lynn is actually creative - I agree with Suzy! In any case, this was a really interesting story and I will be listening to more of these!

Inspiring and fun
A fabulous new podcast on a topic few give enough attention to. There’s so much creativity in all of us whether we use it for work or play and Suzy captures the fun and benefits so well in her stories. I love her advice to give yourself permission to create with no agenda. We all need a little of this inspiration so thank you for putting this out there, ironically creating an agenda!
I’d recommend you subscribe this podcast whether you’re in a creative work or just to pick up things you used to enjoy or to take up new pursuits. It’s a relaxed chatty bit of time spent and who knows where it can lead!

Inspiring and full of positivity
I’ve just binged the first episodes of this new podcast and listening to Suzie and her wonderful guests just puts a smile on your face. Now more than ever finding space for creativity is important and the stories brought by her and the amazing women she interviews, all with really interesting background stories, is a breath of fresh air and really feels like a lovely chat in the living room. Very involving and surely recommended!

I didn't realise that I needed this podcast and a focus on creativity in my life until I listened to Suzy so eloqently tell me so. I am a creative person and I reap enormous benefit from doing all sorts of creative things. Or at least I did... when did I stop and why? I am excited to keep listening to find out how Suzy worked this out and to see where it leads me. Looking forward to more episodes!
