Just ‘famous’ is not funny or interesting and spoils the whole world of the programme.

Why is there so many people who haven’t been on the show who do the podcast and a lot less of the people involved with taskmaster , but still a brilliant pod

John Kearns is an absolute legend. The second time he is on here with Ed Gamble and it's the funniest podcast episode. I laughed from start to finish. Hearing Ed Gamble break down laughing is contagious. Brilliant stuff!

Love this pod. Ed is really well researched and gets the best out of guests. Enjoy hearing stories about things that happened but we didn’t get to see, eg tasks or conversations that didn’t make the edit.

Wondering what will happen when they run out of old episodes!

I’ve only recently discovered Taskmaster, but in the space of about a month, I’ve caught up to s9 (thanks, All 4!). I started listening before I got there and immediately got the spoiler of Ed having won, but you know, you start watching something that’s over 5 years old and theme’s the breaks…!! But I was still invested anyway.

I skipped the opening few podcasts and joined on the ‘re-watch’ episodes instead, but be warned if you do this- more spoilers abound! I’m not worried about it, but if you are, don’t listen to ANY till you’ve totally caught up!

I really love Ed and his engagement with guests and the insight he brings of actually being a competitor (and a very competitive one at that!)

The content of this podcast is fab and I am a big fan of Taskmaster. Recently, it’s become really clear how much Ed talks about himself or turns things round to him or what he thinks or his series. It’s starting to grate on me now.

Repeats something funny that the other person says and is annoying

I love it. I get my fix that I need. The follow up, insight, and the jokes. I love it. Every week.

The podcast desperately needs a less aggressive host, one that doesn’t constantly um and er, or talks over the guests… one that is funny might be good too.

You have adverts, that’s fine. But a full FIVE MINUTES of them without interruption at the beginning? It’s getting ridiculous now.

Fabulous insight into the show and as always Ed is hilarious.

Love this podcast but it’s annoying when the guests haven’t bothered to watch the episode (especially if they clearly don’t remember it!).

The show is only 45 minute long, how can a summary be 20 minutes longer

Love the show but way too many episodes where the guest is incredibly low in the mix and hard to hear and the music is off the charts loud. Only issue but really annoying! Aside from that, a really enjoyable format

Love the show & podcast. Really enjoy hearing the shows I have watched & loved being talked through by comedians. Brilliant.

I love this podcast but where are all the series?? Loads seem to be missing and it’s a great shame

It’s actually a bit sad how much I enjoy listening to two comedians dissecting a tv show I’ve already seen, but I look forward to this every week. I find it fascinating to hear how things work behind the scenes and every week, it just reinforces how much of a genius Alex Horne is. Taskmaster is my favourite comfort show and this podcast is a perfect addition to that. Ed is a fantastic podcast host too. Highly recommend!

It’s interesting to hear contestants discussing their time on the show and thoughts on their tasks and/or the episode under discussion. I understand that sponsors are needed but the adverts are jarring in their different volume levels to the rest of the podcast and the ones half way through are very badly timed. Sometimes mid question and answer!

Hoping for an international Taskmaster one day

I like be taskmaster and was very happy to find out it had a podcast. I love the podcast almost as much as I love the show. 5 points.

This podcast was excellent and it usually is a brilliant review of taskmaster…

However David correos must be the worst guest I have ever heard.

In fact he might be the worst comedian I have ever heard and if I’m honest I think that’s an insult to anyone that has ever spent any time working on material at open mic nights

Absolutely love Taskmaster but find listening to Ed Gamble desperately trying to be funny and constantly talking about his own appearance on the show really tiresome. Would be brilliant with a different host.

Hosted by the king of Podcasts Ed Gamble, this brilliant podcast keeps me entertained on the way to work. Now, not only do I watch Taskmaster from start to finish on loop, I now do the same with the podcast. Five points to Ed Gamble!

Been a fan of taskmaster since series 1 and timed coming across the podcast within its first episode.

I am missing my dose of podcast this past week. I have seen it’s been uploaded late on YouTube but where is it on the podcast forum?!!

Only giving one star now as they still insist on Ed presenting…GET HERRING TO HOST!!!

Essential listening for any Taskmaster fan

This is one of the few podcasts I can’t listen to at work since even at full volume it’s inaudible in my noisy workplace. It’s not a problem with my phone or headphones since most other podcasts I listen to don’t even need full volume.

Great podcast otherwise.

Maisie Adams ep is enough to not have non contestants on. I hope taskmaster don’t ever have her as a contestant. Very negative, and very unfunny

Love this podcast, I’ve watched the show over and over and now I watch it all again from the beginning to listen through with this. Loads of little snippets behind the scenes from the people who were taking part or celebrity fans. Ed Gamble is obviously a massive taskmaster fan and contestant and is great as host. Initially I started listening to this after every show in a Thursday but am so glad that it’s going back through all the old shows now.

I’m a big Taskmaster fan, now there’s been 50+ comedians, (and a Quiz show host and a few actors!) it could be fun to change up the host with other past contestants?!

S11 E7 . No Ed you couldn't use the ribena to douse the fuse unless you could reach from behind the rope.

The pod is okay but they need to sort the adverts out. There is no transition and they come in halfway through a sentence. Needs to be better tbh.

Played Dukey Medz on Saturday. There was a cactus on a new stand in a weird bubble. Hopefully some new filming taking place

Absolutely amazing for any taskmaster fan to listen to. Listen when walking back from school and it never fails to enjoy me. Highly recommended

Generally great, good guests (bar one notable exception) and interesting behind the scenes insight. The fact that Ed is an enthusiast fan of Taskmaster means he is always passionate about the subject, if a little hung up on being a winner.

Calm down though, Ed. We don’t need to hear every week about how worried you are that Richard’s going to replace you. It’s getting a little needy tbh.

My personal preference would be less structured by episode/tasks and more free form. Such great guests , often restricted by Gamble’s enthusiastic PE teacher routine which makes it a bit trying. (Assume he restricted by the producers) Handing over to Herring not the worst idea in the world, would prefer a less conventional approach. There’s something about

Gamble’s approach that makes it feel insidery and clubabble rather than inclusive. Love some of the behind the scenes stuff but less keen on it when it feels like a closed shop. I think T/M itself could move towards the NEw year treat format anyway and not just have comics on, as they’re all getting a bit wise to it.

I’ve only just found Taskmaster on TV and love it. The podcast is superb for TM nerds, with lots of behind the scenes insights. Excellent podcast. Well presented and some cracking guests. Well worth a listen

Good podcast, brilliant host would totally recommend.

All of the low rating about this podcast are wrong, those people have a lot of hate in their life and are just a bit salty, don’t listen to them.

Love it and the guests but found the Jayde Adams episode unlistenable. Switched off after a few mins that time. Why on Earth was she on? Would have given 5* but knocked a star off for that episode.

Perfect accompaniment for my taskmaster rewatch. Fab guests and Ed is a top host.

Brilliant podcast, Ed is the perfect host. Again , love all the guests except Jayde - I’m a much bigger fan of taskmaster than her! Love all the behind the scenes talk. I particularly like the episodes with Alex and Greg as guests, please get them on again!

Brilliant podcast, Ed does an amazing job and you can tell he really cares about the show. Five stars for all the previous guests and love the in depth look at it especially the tidbits from alex horne. However, why did u just get a random comedian in off the street for an episode. Would’ve forgiven it if she would’ve said yeah got into it late but then binge watched. Not just saw a few episodes and now I watched one because of this podcast. Screen your guests!

I’ll give you 5*s cause thanks for the free pod... love taskmaster, big Gamble fan and nothing against Jayde Adams. BUT why is she the guest? She has no involvement and clearly isn’t even a fan of the show! Last minute replacement? Again, I don’t dislike her but she has no relevance to the show at all! Please if you can’t get a guest who at least likes the show (scrubious pip!) or was on it or even involved in making it (would love to hear from a camera operator eg!) then just wait a week or two till you can! Don’t fob us of with “I like mawaan, and when I got asked to do this I quickly watched the relevant episode”!

Sorry for the rant. It’s because I care.

Really enjoyable podcast

Ed is the perfect choice to host this show. I love hearing task solutions and hacks from the previous contestants. It’s great that it has gone back to the beginning to keep content coming during lockdown.

Would it possible to hear from either of the Andys in the future? It would be interesting to hear more from behind the scenes.
