The premise of this podcast - that school is slightly wasted on us when we are young and that learning is an ongoing, lifelong activity - is what drew me in. As well as, of course, my appreciation of Greg James’ boundless charm and energy, and admiration for Bella Mackie - the ultimate cool girl and one I would certainly have been too intimidated by at school to talk to! Their chemistry and slight competitiveness combined with the excellent teachers invited on to the podcast is a brilliant recipe, and I have learned so much as I have smiled along. Well done - keep them coming!

I love listening to Greg James on the radio and saw this podcast and thought it’d be great and it is! I started listening to it on a train journey home and became obsessed! The teachers are brilliant and so passionate about their subject and the banter between Greg and Bella is great! Keep it up guys! Can’t wait to hear more!

I love Bella bad James they are so humorous and add a lot to the learning side of the podcast. So not only is it a podcast we can learn from but also a podcast we can laugh at and enjoy. This has taught me a lot logically and school like. I use it to get me to sleep as the specialist sleep podcasts don’t help at all so I was just looking for a stress and anxiety free bedtime with a interesting and humorous distraction. This podcast I think suits all lot of ages and can be used for sleep or for leisure. PLEASE TRY IT!!!

I LOVE this series. The teachers are inspirational and Bella and Greg are brilliant pupils. I wish teaching had been like this when I was at Grammar school in the 60s. Every lesson was so dull, then!

I starting listening for the banter between Greg & Bella - I still love the bants, but now I’m gripped by the lessons! I’ve learnt more than I EVER learnt at school, from these inspirational teachers. I went to a fee paying private girls college and we never had teachers of the caliber of these ladies & gents!

More self indulgence “look how funny I am” from the presenters, than actually teaching and revisiting subjects from school, which what I listened to this show for. Took nearly ten min minutes to get onto the actual content and it was very light on the subject matter. Wont be listening to a second episode…

Teach Me A Lesson is just the perfect podcast, I began listening to it whilst I started running (thank you Bella for that inspiration too!) and it’s really spurred me on, I get so caught up listening that I forget to feel sorry for myself whilst I’m running! Properly entertaining whilst actually learning things. Hopefully it’s not too long before series two!

Love listening to this podcast. I’m a maths teacher and the way all the other teachers talk about their subjects has inspired me to come up with some new lesson ideas. I’ve also completely stolen the “that’s not so random” lesson and my kids loved it.

I’ve only ever found a couple of podcasts that I will listen to as soon as they are released and this is the first BBC one that I thought was beyond brilliant, so informative, genuinely great teachers that have given students an opportunity and two hosts who work phenomenally alongside each other, I know they’re married but, the chemistry is visible in a fun way, especially Greg’s love of puns which Bella despises! It’s a great way to learn something new or sometimes have something you learned refreshed. Also check out the Break Time pods on BBC sounds as they are a different tone but a joyful extra.

Really enjoying this podcast, have been listening from the beginning which seems like months but has only been weeks, right? (time has no meaning anymore) Most recent one ‘Can we trust our memories’ had me LOLing whilst running and I had to do that thing where you need to walk to listen rather than run because you can’t listen intently enough whilst huffing and shuffling. Love the dynamic between Bella and Greg, ( diligent student v drama student ) some cameos from Barney wouldn’t go astray. Just sayin’

I did have to laugh hearing about Greg’s dream of being a grounds manager and riding on a ride-on mower. I too have experience the thrill of a ride-on mower and it is as fun as it looks! I have tried to reach out to Greg to see if he want a turn but I’m yet to hear... so let see if he does read all his podcast reviews.

Very reassuring that someone as cool and awesome as Bella also has a Jimmy-Carr laugh. There’s hope for us all.

One of my favourite podcasts. Such an array of subjects that are usually interesting and hilarious. I love when you have an insight into the lives of your favourite ‘celebs’ and realise they’re very much human too. Very relatable.

I thought this was going to potentially be watered down nonsense, but as I like Greg I thought I would give it a go. Turns out Bella is the star of the show here, I didn’t know anything about her beforehand but I think she’s great.

Fantastic chemistry between the two of them and while they chat about subjects in a lighthearted way, they actually offer up interesting topics that are worth knowing about.

One point, as I have seen a few others suggest: Please loose the terrible theme tune. It feels like something Chris Moyles crapped out at the BBC.

Love Greg and Bella anyway but this podcast makes me love them even more! Full of laughs and you might actually learn something
