'Zero Ducks Given' is an irreverent look at the world of cricket - less about the stats, much more about the stories... From the highs to the lows and from the big nights out to the inevitable hangovers the morning after. Much loved former England and current Sussex cricketer Steven Finn will give insights from inside the dressing room. Joining him will be cricket-loving Radio X presenter Toby Tarrant and Test Match Special commentator Dan Norcross.
I’ve listened to a few episodes of Zero Ducks Given and quite enjoyed them. Especially when they talk about cricket, which isn’t often enough for me. I quite enjoy the banter (if not the swearing) but sometimes it feels like they are trying a little too hard. Audio quality is variable, only Dan seems to have a decent microphone.

The best cricket podcast by far, especially for disgusting anecdotes. I live in Hove, and hope one day to run into Finny so I can tell him how much i love and admire Dan Norcross. Keep up the good work.

When meeting Mr Norcross at finals day yesterday, we briefly chatted about the podcast and Somerset’s amazing ability to lose in another finals day, he offered to mention me on the pod if I wrote a review so here it is… good pod, good cricket chat, good levels of toilet chat, unsure if Finny genuinely hates Toby and Dan. Huge fan of the contributors and the content but why so many “F words”? This just means it can’t be listened to by young kids that are cricket fans?
With all the technology these days could a censored version be made available? I guess the F words are felt necessary to appeal to a certain sector and f cricket’s fan base.

I love Norcross on TMS and I respect Finn for his achievements but this is a tediously self indulgent podcast. I reached the end in the episode featuring one of my all time childhood heroes Graeme Fowler. I was embarrassed listening to it and even more embarrassed that they seemed think it was funny. An intelligent long form interview with Foxy would be my dream podcast. I look forward to when The Final Word boys do it. But I’m pressing unsubscribe on this one

Have really enjoyed this podcast so far. Great banter amongst the guys. Finny great at taking the pi** out of himself. Very funny and you haven’t got to be a cricket enthusiast to enjoy.
Only negative comment I’d say is that Toby and Finny are crystal clear but the other guy I think has only spent £3.50 on a microphone and therefore sounds like the teacher off Charlie Brown, which is a shame

I have to say I was mortally wounded by the assertion that being a fan of both guys renders me both a lush and single . I may occasionally be the former from time to time but currently am not the latter although occasionally dream of it when hubby and I get into deep cricketing debates ! On a serious note the podcasts are quality ... keep them coming please !
