Love the podcast but please stop with the constant ads!

Just a big ad but not good enough to pay for

I find it quite shocking how uninformed and uneducated this duo are. You may be able to excuse the fact that they are constantly using the incorrect word in a sentence / mispronouncing words, but their lack of general knowledge is shocking. It is clear that they get the vast majority of their knowledge from TikTok and it is irresponsible that they are using their platform to misinform their followers. I am a big fan of Newlyweds but Wednesdays is shockingly bad and I think the producers should make more of an effort to fact check before they make their final edits. Melissa pushing her celebrity obsessed health beliefs and endorsing supplements with no evidence base is irresponsible. Also found it absolutely shocking that two women in their late 20s don’t check their breasts and were so shocked to learn how important it is to do so. Young girls are looking up to you. Spend more time learning how to be good role models rather than wasting your time on celeb gossip / TikTok. Your podcast should have a lot more substance at your age. Very disappointing.

Latest episode was just a plug for their premium show and the Friday’s episode is just an ad for Starbucks

Love the Wednesdays episodes but the first ‘Fridays’ episode felt like one massive advert. I don’t know if it was sponsored by Starbucks or something but they talked about ‘treats’ for half the show and even their voices sounded disingenuous. I get having ads for revenue, gals gotta make their money, but an entire half an episode wrapped up as just ‘chat’ was a huge ick!

The episodes seem so rushed since the new ‘subscription’ episodes have been released. They are constantly begging for people to sign up to their subscription to ‘find out more’. If your main weekly eps are so poor and rushed with rubbish advice then why would we pay for a subscription???

Unsubscribing, really self centred narrow minded and no comments or even discussion around socio political issues.

Wow what a completely misinformed episode around fertility, age and AMH I can’t believe they were allowed to release this episode and hope that none of the younger listeners take on what they have said. AMH of 6 is not the egg reserve of a 50 year old painful listening.

Would love less dilemmas sometimes and more of you girlies just catching up and chatting about life things. The dilemmas can get so repetitive (everyone is doing it now!) and you huns live lifes we would love to hear more about/your hot takes on things!

Used to love the pod but I hate the new format with the guests. Used to be a girly gossip with great dilemmas but I’m not into the guests and the girls are not interviewers

I have to skip excessive amounts of advertising. This weeks guests seemed a very strange choice. Firstly I don’t know who they are but secondly we they are talking about eating disorders, Sophie talks about her eating habits a lot on the pod and her eating behaviours are really worrying. Maybe not the best pod for those girls to be promoting their app on.

This podcast is an insult to your intelligence.

Writing after listening to Ep 2 with Ruby Rare, really like the new format and more interview style with interesting and topical conversations for us girlies. Think this will set this podcast more in its own lane because you both ask the questions we’re all thinking of. Hope this format is kept up rather than just advice eps

I used to love listening to the pod and agree with one of the listeners, that it used to feel like having a weekly much needed girly gossip. But the adverts have got out of control and the episodes are way too short.

The boob job episode was seriously not ok. I’m a 30 year old woman who has struggled on and off with feelings of inadequacy about my own breasts. It’s been a long old road to reach a level of acceptance and body confidence (and not having 6-10k to drop on plastic surgery). I found it so triggering and upsetting to listen to that episode and it made me so sad to imagine the impact it will have had on other listeners who struggle with body positivity. You have a responsibility with a platform like this to put out positive messaging to young, impressionable women!! Really not good, guys. Do better.

I’ve listened to most episodes of the show and have always found it light hearted and entertaining, even if some of the advice has sometimes been a bit questionable. However, the most recent episode (124: why I’m getting a boob job) had some extremely worrying content. The speaker talked about having a breast ‘deformity’, though upon googling, it seems as though this sits within the realms of entirely normal variation between breasts, and goes on to imply that having a boob job is an easy fix to this ‘problem.’ There is also talk of men finding large, round breasts more attractive because it is a sign that the woman will be a better mother and partner. I’m really shocked that the producers of this podcast would think that this is safe content for their listenership of, what I assume is, young women. A toxic episode that should be removed asap.

This show used to be sooo good but now it’s literally just 15mins of ads and then 15mins of the show 😭

The ads just seem excessive! 5+ minutes of ads before the episode even starts as well as more ads in the episode is just very irritating. I used to enjoy this pod but I do agree with a lot of the recent reviews that the girls are just out of touch with reality and not down to earth at all. Such a shame but maybe they need to drop this pod and Sophie just focus on newly weds. At least she seems a little more easy going and less vacuous on that!

I’m a full on Tiney Winey here 🍷 🥰 Love the dilemmas and the ladies’ reactions to them are hilarious. It’s a great bit of escapism from my dull work days. Only downside is the quantity of ads (most recent episode was 7.5 minutes at the start, 4.5 minutes in the middle and 3 minutes at the end… 15 minutes total out of a 37 minute pod? 🤮 too much!)

What a waste of time this was. Beyond vacuous. There are so many GOOD and genuinely funny/clever/entertaining podcasts out there, I can’t understand why anyone would tune in to this! Two completely out of touch women acting like ridiculous teens over imbecilic stuff. Beyond.

It’s a miss for me I’m afraid. Sophie is hilarious but Melissa comes across like she is trying to be Sophie and it’s awkward.

I’ve listened to nearly weds for a while and that dynamic is great.

LOVE this pod but Melissa literally speaks soooo fast sometimes I think I have the speed at 1 1/2 times!

I listen to you not just every Wednesday, I literally listen to you everyday. Even if that means re listening to podcasts then so be it.

I adore you both & find myself effortlessly smiling & laughing throughout. Oh & do not forget the tears too!
