Joyful podcast about recovery and creativity
An honest, meaningful and joyful podcast, giving voice to recovery in all its forms, including addiction, mental illness, loss of identity and trauma, and the healing life force that music, art and creativity can bring. Milly is a natural host and puts her subjects at ease; it feels like listening in on close friends having an intimate chat. These important conversations helped me understand what recovery means and how none of us are really alone in wanting to heal our past—perfectly timed after a year that has signalled isolation, loss and trauma for many. Thought-provoking, funny, raw and uplifting in equal amounts.

A great listen
This podcast combines so many experiences and feelings, from memories of searching for raves and moments of euphoria as well as reminders of darker, harder times when existing has been more challenging. Milly Chowles communicates with such a natural familiarity with the guests that it makes me feel instantly involved and part of the conversation. I found the second episode with Lizzie Allan so deep, personal and at times, hilarious , it’s inspired me to think of new ways to get creative and embrace shame that I’ve been carrying around. One of the most inspiring things I have heard in a while. A great and necessary conversation that de-stigmatises shame, addiction and mental health issues.

engaging, loveable, and rawly honest
As someone who didn’t grow up within rave culture, I wasn’t sure I would have the context to engage with this subject matter but I was so wrong. All you need to be is human to connect with this podcast. Milly is an open and generous host, the first guest Eris is captivating and the topics covered are simultaneously timeless and current. This is an enriching listen and I look forward to more episodes.
