Description

Hello and welcome to ‘In Suspense’, a podcast for fans and writers of crime fiction. I’m Lesley Kara, author of 'The Rumour', 'Who Did You Tell' and 'The Dare', and my co-host is Lauren North, author of 'The Perfect Betrayal' (US:'The Perfect Son'), 'One Step Behind', and 'Safe At Home'. In each episode we’ll be discussing a particular topic of writing or book-related interest and interviewing a wide range of authors, both established and debut. We also hope to include the occasional focus on an indie author who has caught our attention. We hope you enjoy it! Lesley x

Enjoyable…

There’s a lot to love here! Not trying to be rude, but not everyone enjoys listening to random chit-chat, so I would just recommend moving the ‘catch up’ bit to the end so that those of us who are short on time can choose to listen to that bit or not. Or let us know in the notes at what point the author guest is introduced so that we can skip to that part. Thanks! *downgraded to 3 stars because too often involves chit chat about motherhood…one conversation had loads of assumptions about “all women” in their 40s being able to relate to children leaving home, etc. 1) Not all women are mothers or will ever be mothers. 2) Increasingly, women are BECOMING mothers in their 40s, so this all just felt so narrow and irrelevant!
