Dual host format

The two host format needs to disappear or at least get rid of the forced “bubbly” conversational format for investigative type podcasts. It’s a tired and outdated concept. Works well for interactive discussions but used for a story like this is now a bit lame.

Love it but…..

Really enjoy all of these whacky stories! But I wish the hosts would try and research into pronouncing names, especially the “stupid” English ones such as ‘Chichester’ - the only thing stupid about the name is how they pronounce it - painful! 😆 This of course this won’t stop me from being a fan and enjoying this quirky podcast though 👍🏻

Not very sensitive

Really bizarre.
There’s just no empathy or sensitivity from the hosts who often make light of devistating situations.
Sure, comedians have done that for centuries... but these ladies are not comedians, they’re podcast hosts. And there’s no payoff or social commentary from the joke like a comedian would set up. It’s just laughing at a victim for being trusting - which literally anyone else would be in that situation.

Two great hosts whose fine sense humour never gets in the way of relating the story, which is in turn, brilliantly researched and narrated. Well done ladies!

Ok but a bit racist

The hosts are like two friends discussing a topic privately which works quite well. The topics are presented at a high level which keeps it entertaining rather than a deep dive investigation.
The more I listen however the more their racist, man hating views come out. The latest episode “The yoga hustler” starts with the question “What would you not want to learn from a white person?” And is answered with “Like 70 things, dancing, cooking non-white food…” followed later with the statement “Never trust a white woman in a turban”.
I get the distinct feeling that the hosts both struggle to put themselves in others shoes, struggling to understand motivations. It would be nice if we could get rid of the racism and put a little more time into understanding others points of view.

Gotta love’em

I’m glad I found this. Love Scaachi and Sarah the presenters- they're so likeable and talented. Needed something to entertain and interest me. Getting lots of ideas for future scams…just kidding… maybe

I really like Sarah and Scaachi’s banter, and they have great narrative skills. The stories are conversational, while avoiding ‘like’ and ‘you know’ every second word that is characteristic of many podcasters out there. The stories are interesting and don’t drag. Great podcast.

These two always show so much sympathy for girls who have made such horrible decisions in their life. It’s annoying! Plus, their forced and fake ‘Oh my gaaaad’ personas really grate after a while.
My daughter, 12, asked me: ‘How much do they get paid for hosting this crap?’
She and her 10 year old sister often make up pretend Scamfluencers episodes, lampooning the annoying style of Satchy and Sara.
Avoid.

There are some “fun” stories in these episodes… I just couldn’t really get over two broadcasters repeatedly saying that they didn’t understand why someone would choose to steal book manuscripts when they were “just PDFs” and “worthless”…. It just made them sound dim. It’s more than a PDF, it’s usually a decade or more of someone’s work. Ridiculous presenters.

No idea why there are so many “grrrrrrr woke” reviews… I hadn’t noticed 😂😂 I’m not offended they used the term “white people” nor do I feel “race baited” 😂 Christ. Were the angry people listening to the same podcast?! This podcast is fun. It’s two entertaining people discussing interesting stories. They are fairly witty and have excellent chemistry… it’s not hard hitting journalism, it features personal opinions- GOOD.. well done ladies. Keep having fun with this.

Kinda see this as the fast food of true crime, it’s clearly not the most highbrow of podcast but it’s entertaining and an easy listen. The cases they choose tend to interesting and are usually ones I’m not familiar with which is a big plus!

Quite an interesting take on the infamous Matharoo sisters scandal but this should have been balanced by input from the other players in this game. I recall reading about them some years back as they were pretty well known. From what I remember they were call girls who had quite a few wealthy clients. Hey, no shade, work is work! However it’s hard to believe the wealthy Femi went to all this trouble because he was a jealous ex. His extramarital proclivities were an open secret & he could pretty much have any woman he wanted so…hmm. Nigeria has huge Indian, Lebanese & other ethnic communities so lots of beautiful women there- foreign & local. I guess the sisters need to clean up their image or tell their version of the scandal by claiming it’s down to ‘haters’, jealous exes’ and so on.

I listened to a few episodes before finally unsubscribing. The hosting style is very fake & forced; I think they’re aiming for natural & endearing but it doesn’t jibe for me at all. In addition, the sneering tone for anyone who doesn’t fit the hosts’ model of righteousness is just off-putting. Blah blah bad white racist but also let’s insult what other people think & hold sacred because we after all are the epitome of morality & everything outside our ironically narrow worldview must be trampled upon. No depth, no insight, no original journalism. Existing podcasts like American Greed & The Perfect Scam, & in depth podcasts like Who The Hell is Hamish do this much, much better.

very entertaining!

I consider myself “woke” but even I was rolling my eyes at some of the lazy race-bating. I also find the hosts’ accents/cadence/speech patterns very irritating - the croaky falling inflections at the end of every sentence, the way “and” is pronounced as “ay-end”, “but” pronounced as “bet”, “cool” pronounced as “koo-al” etc. The “just two gals chatting at the mall” style banter feels pretty artificial too. I recently listened to the “Gossip Girls” series and their apparent endorsement of two gold-digging Canadian sisters, who ponced off rich Nigerian men but crossed the wrong guy and ended up in trouble, as modern feminist icons grated. However, I suppose that’s just an example of the kardhasianisation of western culture……

As the title says. Not a fan of the statement about white people. Kind of skews the validity of anything the presenters say when they let themselves down with disappointing comments. Some pronunciations are wrong also. Maybe research more on how to pronounce words and names that you aren’t familiar with. I will carry on listening because the subjects are interesting and it’s funny at times.

Casual racism/ageism disguised as jokes

To the person who said their constant use of ‘white people’ is racist, read a book I beg!!! We are tired of your ignorance.
Anyways, an excellent podcast that has a very modern perspective to it. I really enjoy the relation to pop culture and the diversity of the stories, I regards to different countries, languages etc. I cannot wait for continuance of season 3 and hopefully more seasons to come. Continue you being great girlies 😊🔥

An entertaining podcast with fun co-hosts. I enjoy the international choice of scammers, the deep dives into their backgrounds and learning about different bits of pop culture while indulging in a good dose of gawping at rich people followed by schadenfreude.
As a middle aged white person I’m surprised that some other commenters seem fixated on how the show talks about race - to me it seemed they only make identity an issue when covering scammers who themselves chose to make it an issue. IMO unless you spend your life thinking about this stuff you won’t find it an issue.

I like it, but

This podcast is informative and I find the stories very interesting and funny and scandalous. The only issue is the presentation - the laughter and banter feels too scripted and the friendship between the cohosts seems so exaggerated to the point of being unbelievable. It just sounds so…American and ott. Their voices are also quite jarring and i’m not even white, but the contant trying to be woke and anti-white nonsense is ridiculous. step into the real world for a second. The pair seen chronically online. Life isn’t twitter.

I do enjoy listening…but the consistent digs at “white people” are grating. Try mentally replacing “white people” with “brown people” to hear how those comments sound. It’s not progressive and honestly it’s bordering on racist.

The subject is reasonably interesting, but it feels very much like one person reading a script that they don’t know much about, interspersed with some extremely fake, scripted ‘banter’ that gets grating after an episode or two.
