Vayse documents the experiences of enthusiastic rookies Peter C Hine and Stephen James Buckley as they take their first bewildered steps into mysticism, magic, high strangeness and the occult with open eyes and open minds. Join them as they re-evaluate reality and expand their minds with guidance from knowledgeable guests, inspirational texts, questionable intuition and bizarre experiments. Weird stuff is everywhere - if you're listening...
It is northern. It is weird. It is my new favourite podcast.
Disclaimer: I know one of these guys well; the other I know reasonably well but haven’t spoken to in a long while. However, it wasn’t recommended to me by either of them - I sort of fell across it…
I love the folklore of my local landscape, and the general rum and uncanny nature of it. Hine and Buckley address complex, esoteric ideas in an extremely accessible and good-humoured (but respectful) way. It’s not like Unexplained or Uncanny (both of which I love) or that sort of weird podcast, but it is very odd indeed. Great music too.

Really Great Show.
Is there room for yet another podcast discussing Aleister Crowley, Jack Parsons, Hellier, Penny Royal, sigil magic and all manner of High Strangeness? When that podcast is as engaging, entertaining, funny and informative as this one is then absolutely yes! The presenters have managed to carve themselves their own little space in a crowded market and it makes for a very enjoyable listen. Highly recommended.

high praise for high strangeness
everything discussed in this podcast is exactly what my brain wants, delivered in a warm amenable fashion with a Polypores soundtrack - reckon i’m on board for the duration…

Good hearted and accessible way into the esoteric
A fascinating and easy listen as two likeable hosts discus the esoteric peculiarities of life and how being 40 presses you to look behind the veil..
