Crime Time Inc. is hosted by Tom and Simon—two ex-cops with decades of frontline experience and zero tolerance for fluff. Tom, a by-the-book former Deputy Chief Constable from Edinburgh, and Simon, a rule-bending ex-undercover cop from Glasgow, bring sharp insight, dark humour, and plenty of East vs. West banter to every episode.
Whether they’re revisiting cases they worked on, grilling fellow former officers, or picking apart narrated true crime stories, Tom and Simon don’t just talk about crime—they’ve lived it. Real cases. Real cops. Real talk.

Gents as a serving officer I have listened to your first 2 seasons of podcasts and loved them, what have you done with the rest of them!! Why are you using AI conversations, it’s a real turn off I’m afraid and not doing justice to your own input for such important topics and cases. I can’t listen to the AI conversations, sorry but it’s not good.

Murder of Yvonne Fletcher
I have just listened to these 2 fascinating episodes regarding the above. I was unaware of the fine details that John Murray & Matt Johnson were able to impart. I was a young teenager when this incident occurred but I do remember watching the footage on TV & being appalled that a police officer had been gunned down. I so admire John for continuing to make good his promise to Yvonne with what appears to be only his own determination to seek justice for her. I’ve bought the book & look forward to reading the full story. I am incredulous that John wasn’t interviewed or that there appears to have been no murder enquiry launched by the Met. The government of the time & subsequent governments should be made to explain their interference in a police enquiry.

A must-listen
Crime Time Inc is a must-listen for anyone in Scottish policing, but anyone interested in policing - or just life - will find their time rewarded. The hosts, Simon and Tom, have a wealth of experience in Scottish policing and this comes through. The banter is classic polis, and anyone from the legacy force era will recognise the Strathclyde/L&B rivalry that takes place between them.
I also like the mix between historical input (e.g. the episodes about Chief Constable Percy Sillitoe) and modern topics, such as drugs reform and the impact of mental health issues on the police.
Definitely recommend.

In-depth and insightful Scottish Police perspectives
Real highlight of the week to hear Tom and Simon talk us through lessons and insights from many decades on the force. Having spent time since leaving the force the two compellingly reflect back sharing great takeaways from Robert Black, through Ruxton to PTSD effects and collective healing.
Thoroughly recommended - keep up the great work guys. It’s the soundtrack to my work-out and International travel.
