Welcome to Sleepytime History — true stories from the pages of history for a full night's rest.
Tonight, we drift back through time with a tranquil history tale designed for audiobook lovers who want to unwind with history and gently get sleepy. This episode is part of our soothing collection of audio books and audiobooks created for history for serenity and harmony, where history legends are shared slowly and calmly, perfect for history for sleep and history to soothe the mind. Our main story explores the remarkable life of Alexander Selkirk, a Scottish explorer whose true survival story inspired the timeless tale of Robinson Crusoe. Marooned on a desert island in the Juan Fernandez Islands during the 18th century maritime history era, Selkirk lived as a castaway sailor, surviving alone through resilience, patience, and ingenuity. His story stands among the greatest minds in history not for invention or conquest, but for quiet endurance, making it ideal for those seeking history for serenity and a peaceful escape at bedtime.
As the night deepens, this audiobook-style episode continues with additional calming stories drawn from across the world, offering tranquil history for listeners who enjoy unwinding with history legends and gentle storytelling meant to relax the mind. A nightly history lesson for sleep

Been listening for a few weeks now and it’s quickly become part of my evening routine. The stories are genuinely interesting—proper historical tales, not just fluff—and the way they’re told is so calm and steady it’s like a grown-up bedtime story. I usually drift off halfway through (in the best way), but always go back the next night to catch what I missed. It’s thoughtful and well-made. A lovely way to switch off at the end of the day.
