Designing clinical research studies that consider the experiences of patients and their families is key to improving patient lives and outcomes. Enter Dr. Ebony Glover, an Associate Professor at Kennesaw State University who is studying how biological and environmental factors, like sex and socioeconomic status, can affect the likelihood that a person develops PTSD. Dr. Glover brings a unique perspective to the scientific community: she herself has a PTSD diagnosis that influences the type of research she prioritizes. We’ve decided to split this chAT into two parts. Join us here in Part 1, where we learn about Dr. Glover’s inspiring journey into neuroscience research, which started during her undergrad at Spelman College, a prestigious women’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) right here in Atlanta!
