I'm in year 11 at school, and have 3 hours of Spanish a week. And I thought I would use this podcast to supplement my lessons as I'm keen to eventually become fluent in Spanish rather than just to get a GCSE. Seeing it was of "beginner" level I wasn't so sure it would benefit me much, but after a single episode, I've found it teaches me much that I don't already know from school, and the elements I do know, it's good to practice and revise - often translating the sentence myself. I believe as well now, this could actually teach me more than I learn in lessons, as its such a more immersive experience, feeling more in a Spanish environment and much like how that when you learn your first language - this is possibly the most effective way to pick up the new language. Finally, I tend to like to listen to these in bed and as well as it teaching me well, I also find it incredibly relaxing to listen to, his voice and the format is just very enjoyable to listen to and this helps the delivery of the information. Simply, this podcast really works and fairly soon will make you feel quite comfortable with the language as the format and the method of listening to the language spoken constantly is ideal.
