I'm an experienced developer, but new to RoR and these podcasts are an incredible resource. Zero fat and straight to the point, you get the answers that you're looking wrapped around a 15mins or less video. You can't ask for more than that.

It's not a beginner podcast. Ryan looks at improving knowledge and more advanced techniques.
If you have (or can get) a basic knowledge down, then this is great.

Ryan makes learning and using Rails fun and simpler! Great podcast series, second to none, and now the Pro episodes help you take it to the next level. I have learned more from Ryan than any other source, he is a huge asset to the Rails community. Keep 'em coming! P.S. I subscribe to the Pro stuff, wish I could download them here too but not sure how? You'll find a way!

As an experienced developer (Java/C#/Php) getting into Rails these podcasts have helped me no end, Ryan Bates explains the subject of the cast very well and you know the code will work once completed.
Another nice thing about Ryan's casts everything I have searched for he has covered.
Thanks Ryan keep up the good work.

I refer to these Railscasts a lot when developing in Ruby On Rails. They are cleanly made, well explained and and just the right scope and size. You don't have to donate as they are free but I felt I had used them so much it was only fair.

Absolutely brilliant

Ryan manages to explain some pretty complex concepts in a clear and easy to understand way. Railscasts have enabled me to be a reasonably profficient RoR programmer in a short period of time. If you want to learn how to programme in Rails, want to get better, or just want to pick up some tips and ideas this Podcast is essential

I'm just learning to program in Rails. I find these podcasts very simple, easy to understand walkthroughs. I've noticed them referred to consistently throughout the web. These podcasts are a valuable resource as well as providing excellent tips and tricks.

Beautiful little gem of information (excuse the pun)

I found this podcast through a link on Peepcode (very high quality, pay-for RoR podcasts). I investigated and to my surprise, I found 98 high quality short podcast detailing RoR tips and tricks, around 5 minutes apiece. I watched 15 back to back and am very impressed.
I'm a web developer with some experience, but am completely new to RoR.
The podcasts cover a wide variety of RoR subjects. The style is casual (talking and typing) and is very clear. The format is usually in a "how, why and why not" fashion. I suggest downloading the lot and watch a couple at a time.
I donated some money to Ryan (the author) through a link on his site, if you value this podcast and are able to - I urge to consider doing the same in a hope that Ryan continues in his efforts.

Absolutely superb! Better than most commercially available RoR tutorials and covers a lot of small (but important) items that others normally overlook. Very helpful indeed.

I am an experienced .NET developer (and other microsoft technologies before that) and have been intrigued by what Rails has to offer. Ryan gives examples of many different areas of the Rails framework and also explains why you shouldn't do things the wrong way to prevent you from taking the wrong path. Please keep up these excellent podcasts.

I would reccomend these to anybody, new to rails or not.
I was having real trouble understanding table relationships in databases, but after one quick, concise 30 minute session, I was up and running with my app just the way I had imagined.
Do yourself a favour -- watch these tutorials!

They are so good that I did 30 (I had missed) all in one sitting, literally took the afternoon off. Insightful, clever, elegant, and quick solutions to very real problems in which the instructor also manages to convey some of the ruby way, as well as the rails fundamentals and tricks and tips.
Completely and utterly impressed. Thank you Ryan!!!!

Really useful snippets of information for anyone trying to get to grips with Ruby on Rails. The fact that they are updated frequently is a real bonus, as it feels as if you have a work colleague who is a Rails whizz in your office who give you tips about best practice a couple of times a week.

Fantastic. Lite bites of informative content. Ryan's presenting style is laid back but informative. The pace of presentation is good and the topics covered are small enough to digest easily whilst still being of interest.
I am always pleased to see a new episode appear in iTunes. (=

Also the intro always makes me smile.
