Well researched and presented. I particularly like having a regular short stimulating programme that can occupy time I’m exercising or traveling
Well done.

Intelligent programmes with a knack for catching ideas months, sometimes years, before they become mainstream. Indispensable radio.
I recently re-listened to ‘British Politics, A Russian View’ - as eloquent, witty and beautifully made as it was disturbing.

Sticks to the point well

There’s no filler in this podcast, and it dares to tread on the dangerous ground where necessary. It does seem to have a little of the standard BBC bias that the sensible position is always Progressive Centre Left, but this doesn’t spoil a good programme. For example, in the show about the New Normal it gave a fair summation of the right‘s position. What it didn’t properly question was whether the Old Normal (PCL) was the best normal to have, or whether the deeply radical nature of the Old Normal is what has led to people trying to establish a different New Normal. Good show though.

Analysis produce some wonderfully insightful commentary on the big issues behind the news. Well-researched, clear and very engaging, Analysis sheds light on some of the major trends and challenges facing the world today

I’ve loved analysis for over two years. The podcast version is an espresso chaser after a week of mad current affairs.
This latest season seems strangely prescient but it just goes to show how great the commissioning editors are.
For a podcast called Analysis, this sure delivers.

such a disappointment. I expect so much better from Radio 4 than this inaccurate mess of platitudes and straw man arguments.

I always enjoy Analysis. This issue though relied a bit too heavily on Kishore Mahbubani who has made a living out of criticising “the West” even before the GFC, which makes his comments seem somewhat opportunistic. He did refer to the inferiority complex he had of growing up in a British Colony, although I don’t see this in his counterparts in Singapore or Hong Kong for that matter.

The first episode of the new series was excellent. It challenged deep seated assumptions. I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.

Full disclosure - I love Auntie Beeb. But that love is there because of excellent ouput like this programme. A huge variety of topics are covered in an in-depth way, giving more analysis of issues of the day than a news bulletin could ever do. And if an episode doesn't tickle your fancy, then skip it - but that won't be very often!

A painful reflection of the rawness of humanity and the them vs us of society The painful impact of being reduced to plead for few pence or pounds is not without its impact. They are not untouchable they are humans who have complex issues and need coordinated policy that is therapeutic intervention and preventive in formula
This will not ever go away and with the odds stacked against them because of successive governments failure maybe society needs to do things - it could be you one day

Good range of shows and topics. BBC and Radio 4 as it should be unlike ‘Today’ programme a shadow of its former challenging and critical self.

The BBC’s Analysis channel is top notch programming. The subjects are well chosen, topical, and balanced (it’s the BBC after all). And, unlike so much other programming, the 45 minute episode duration allows for good depth of coverage.

The presenter at one point asked: "What if they are genuinely offended?". This begs the question that there is such a thing as genuine offence. The podcast failed even to mention that offence is entirely a choice by the person offended. It doesn't come from outside.

Many of these editions are very interesting and well researched, although they do adhere to the dominant BBC left of center, metropolitan liberal view of the world. The presenters bring they're own world/political views to the show, with anecdotes used as evidence and opposing views looked down upon.

Why therefore use BBC licence payers' money to travel to 4 countries in Europe and ask the question? BBC proper-gender at its best!
