The recipes are simple but work well for food during the week. There is no excuse to purchase ready made food when these are an alternative.
I really like the way he is trying to encourage anyone and everyone to eat fresh food, be it simple or more complex. Unlike many other celeb chefs I really do think his goal is to ensure more people eat more fresh food and become healthier as a result. He should be encouraged in doing this seeing as schools seem to think this is no longer necessary.
As a series to encourage this then he has succeeded.

What a down to earth bloke! I love the way he explains every little detail which is excellent for a complete novice like me! I have made the fish pie and it was lovely. Jamie Oliver has given me an interest in cooking and I think his non arrogant approach is an excellent way of getting more people in the kitchen! If i meet ya I'll shake ya hand jamie!

these podcasts are really usseful and always make me hungry when i am watching them!
but what i didnt realise was that the recipes in the podcast are also in the cookbook
which makes them even more useful as you do not need to jot down what you need while you are watching the podcast, you just need to look it up in the book and also in the podcast you get little tips on how to cook.
you dont get them in the book!

I absolutly love these webcasts. Jamie please provide some more, hopefully this will be the future of celebrity chefing. Rather than reading out of a book you can see the experts do it their way and feel their passion for the flavours and the ingrediants. The Fish Pie is awesome and the sizzling beef is also an absolute treat. Jamie thank you so much for these, and best of luck with the Ministry - I am certainly passing these receipes on.
