LOTRO Academy is a free, weekly audio podcast focused on getting the new player up to speed in Lord of the Rings Online™. Each episode will feature an in-depth look at a particular element of the game, starting with the basics, such as character creation, soloing and grouping, and using the LOTRO Store, but moving onto more intermediate and advanced topics as we continue our adventures in Middle-earth. Our goal is to learn as much about LOTRO ourselves as we can, and to share what we learn with our listeners.

Great show, great game.

I've played LOTRO, on and off, since 2009. Whilst there have been large periods of time where I haven't been as active as I would like, I always come back to continue my adventures in Middle-Earth.

Not long after I started playing, I discovered the LOTRO Academy podcast and instantly knew this would be one of those podcasts that you subscribe and listen to on a long-term basis. Whether you're a new player or a seasoned veteran, the academy team provide a great resource which is both informative and fun.

I've recently returned to LOTRO (yet again) and have just finished catching up on all the episodes that I had fallen behind with since I last “paused” my gameplay in November 2012. LOTRO has a certain charm that you rarely find in an MMO that always brings me back, and the academy folks have almost become a group of old friends who I sit down with and catch up on all things LOTRO.

Excellent LOTRO Podcast.

If your new to Lord of the Rings Online this is the podcast for you. If like me, you have been playing for quite some time but would like to improve your playstyle, or become more involved with the community. This is the podcast for you. The hosts are engaging the chat lively. From informative to funny. Thankyou all for such an enjoyable listen.

Great for new, and expereienced players.

Very good podcast for anybody relatively new to LOTRO. But it's also great for a more in depth look at subjects than you would normally find, so very useful for experienced players too. I would recommend this highly to anyone who plays LOTRO.

Beginner finds it handy

I found this podcast after I played LOTRO for 2 weeks it's fantastically helpful, especially the Skirmish and Crafting episodes

Good Show

LOTRO is the first MMO I have played. This podcast was a great help in leaning the basics and getting me excited for later content.

Also, good mix of hosts.
