The best!!!

This show is out of this world, complex, funny, human and not human…it’s by far the best sci fi audio drama I’ve ever listened to!

Remarkable, and still going!

I don’t know how this podcast isn’t better known or promoted in some podcasts listings. Is production values are on par with any I’ve listened to (a lot!) and the story clips along with great detail woven in. The dialog is hilarious and serious and well executed. It took me an episode to get into it pace and vide but now I’m hooked. Five star all the way.

Gripping, funny, humane.

This Podcast grew on me with every episode. There is a fabulous range of well written and developed characters. The plot is multifaceted and intriguing on every level. The sound scapes, and the overall production, is superb and extremely stimulating. Perhaps the greatest strength of this pod though is the strength of the voice actors who populate it - particularly the contributions of the creator Jack Kinkaid. I’ve fallen in love with the madcap Captain Socrates, admire Deputy Director Dockstader and remain intrigued and amused by Agent Garrett. Don’t be fooled into thinking this is a Male only world though - there are strong and diverse women too. This is a well crafted and captivating Podcast which I have become devoted to in recent weeks. Give it a go - I’d be amazed if you don’t get hooked!

Ridiculously good.

Consistently great, from the beginning of each episode to the credits. Voice acting, sound, music, story—all 10/10.

Christ

Jesus. You want sci-fi, gritty detective drama? You got it. Totally immersive world, incredible layers to the narrative and characters so well-rounded (or so entirely detached) that they stay with you post-podcast as you go about your day.
Edict Zero is an epic and one worth wrestling.

Astonishing.

The level of sound scape is really astonishing. It’s engaging, mystifying and marvellous in equal measure. I have no idea why it’s not got more reviews and ratings. It’s totally WORTH IT. Even tho sometimes i had to listen a couple of times - the use of language and the world created is really a high achievement. Recommend.
I have none.

The Best Audio Fiction Series - Bar None.

This is it. Look no further. You've found the best audio series in existence... and it's free. I'll fight anyone who dislikes it. I'll fight and I'll win!

Well produced but flawed sci-fi

The production values and dialogue in this audio drama are great and the podcast makers do a fantastic job of creating a immersive world for the listener.
However I also find the decision to work without narration means that it can be very hard to keep up. This is exasperated by having one voice actor play a few of the main and minor roles. His voice and accent are so distinctive that attempts to disguise it for each character fail completely and it's only through context that I can work out who he is supposed to be. I had to give up on the podcast as I was unable to follow what seems like it would be a complicated and nuanced story because of this.

Gritty cop drama on LSD

It takes a great deal of bravery to pull of a full audio drama series without using a narrator at any point whatsoever. Although Edict Zero can at times be slightly confusing (sometimes I've had to listen to them twice to clarify what exactly is going on, but that probably says more about me than the podcast) it is a rich, colourful world full of vibrant (and sometimes completely insane) characters. The dialogue is fantastic and full of humour, and the overall production is first class. Thoroughly recommended.
