These guys are great with fantastic long form improv story telling which has to last longer than just one episode because everything is cannon (something that is a heck of a challenge) to then be aware how to play with these continuing elements to make sure new listeners are not completely lost is also fantastic. As a Star Trek fan it is great to enjoy the fact that the cast clearly understand the original material and basically make it a sand box to play in and allow the listeners just to enjoy. I’m currently going through the back catalogue and it means my drives to work have plenty to fill them as there’s some much but heck I’m going through the entirety of Star Trek in broadcast order also at the moment so this isn’t a slog at all.

A constant joy. Improv Star Trek is truly the sequel to Next Gen. Endlessly entertaining, innovative and funny. The cast have created characters that are both endearing and hilarious. A genuine pleasure to listen and re-listen to.

Just found this podcast and I’m addicted. It’s super funny and the cast are incredible. Whether you like Star Trek or not, you’ll love this podcast. Funniest show I’ve ever heard. Keep up the good work guys. Engage.

Brilliant improvisational comedy with consistent, bizarre, but somehow relatable characters. Excellent production and sound design only serve to enhance an already truly authentic feeling star trek setting. I have power listened to over 170 episodes in a matter of weeks and still find myself wanting more. If you like improvised comedy and star trek this podcast is a good at is gets. If ever I find myself in Chicago I’ll be sure to check out the live show!

It takes a while to listen to every episode of Improv Star Trek, but it is entirely worth it. (I used overcast). The characters are consistently engaging and hilarious, there is loose misremembered continuity which only adds to the situational comedy.

A fun little podcast regarding the single most incompetent people Starfleet could offer. Done in a style of old radio plays, this offers a great cast of offbeat weirdos cruising their way around the galaxy and their misadventures and of course is entirely improvised besides title recommendations from fans. A must-listen for your average Trekker who wants a little fun in their Trek but also recomended for anyone who enjoys a well-made radio story even if it's not scripted.

This is by far the funniest most original podcast I have listened to. You have to give it a go!

Found this podcast only recently, yet have binge-listened to it since. It has inspired me to try my own improv stuff on podcast, which is as big a recommendation as I can think of. Great characters, funny, funny, funny, and has opened up a whole new world…universe…for me Thanks, IST.

This is a great improv Star Trek show. One of my favourite podcasts.

A tremendous show with consistent laughs, this is what the office comedy exists for, the juxtaposition of the surreal and wondrous with the comedically mundane. Highly recommended.

Star Trek lives on in this hugely enjoyable and offbeat improvised comedy podcast. It manages to stay faithful to its source material and stands up as an incarnation of Star Trek in its own right with its own continuity and characters, while at the same time managing to poke reverent fun at the series and genre and at times get downright surreal.

Set on a federation starship where many of the crew aren't very good at their jobs and are as likely to try and work out ways of avoiding a mission or just fighting among themselves, the series has kept running long past its source and can easily fill the void left by voyager, deep space nine and the next generation while embracing elements of all of these.

If you've ever watched an episode of Star Trek and thought "but why don't they just..." then someone in this series will usually ask that question. From using the transporters to beam to the front of the queue at an amusement park to a trill whose symbiont turns him from a dedicated command officer into a slacker after joining, the Star Trek tropes are used for great effect as the players are clearly fond fans themselves.

Highly recommended and great fun.

This is one of the best comedy podcasts around. The consistently funny shows are full of great gags for trekkies and non-trekkies alike. Getting to know the characters, with all their quirks and outright insanities (yes, Ladycola, I’m talking about you) is a positive joy. The performances are sharp and the dialogue is so witty and downright funny that you’ll find it hard to believe that it's improvised (but it is!). Great stories that take in broad sci-fi, wild fantasy and bizarre surrealism as well as classic Star Trek themes are guaranteed to keep you hooked. Not to forget the excellent sound effects and post-production that really brings the ship and the setting alive. Keep up the great work everyone and, Commander Hayes, hang in there! They’re bound to respect you one day!

I straight up love this show! Extremely well produced and, most importantly, absolutely hilarious, it is a "must listen" for any Trek fan, even if you're not a fan I'd still recommend a download. Funny's funny, right!?
