Bro-science at its most basic
The show for the most part is completely inoffensive with little difference from it and the 100 other podcasts pushing the fad, Paleo diet.
Science is not the shows strong point, but you will be assured regularly that all the studies agree with which ever bit of bro science is being pushed at that moment, however don't expect the studies to ever be named or discussed.
And up until now I've been ok with that. I've probably listened to about 30 shows, Abel seems like a nice guy and unarguable is in great shape, so he has found something that works for him, he has little idea why it works, but it works.
However the pushing of pseudoscience crossed the line from dumb and harmless to offensive and dangerous with this latest guest Dr Charles Livingston (Dr being used in its loosest sense possible).
The 'Dr' touched on all the same nonsense that we have come to expect from chiropractors, homeopathists, witchdoctors, faith healers and palm readers. But I had to stop listening stop listening as I found myself screaming at my iPhone as this moron claimed that vaccinations weaken the immune system.
We are currently living on a planet with around 7 billion others. We are living longer, healthier and happier lives due in no small part to vaccinations. We no longer need to fear being crippled by poleo or left sterile by the measles.
Any one can have a six pack, lift weight and eat properly. The same can not be said for explaining science. Stick to lifting heavy things Abel.
