I have the audio one on as a fixture in the car but I must catch the video stream and get onto the Slack room to join the madness.

I’ve been a Mac show listener now for just over 2 years and loved every minute of it, it’s fantastic. The topics are interesting and usually include arguments from both sides, with guests and presenter happy to play devils advocate to give a balanced argument. I often find myself taking sides in a light hearted, constructive yet occasionally heated discussions. Everything you would want from a tech podcast. I’ve not bothered writing podcast reviews in the past, but the British Tech Network deserve a damned good pat on the back!

Very late to the whole podcasting thing, and started with TWIT network, wouldn’t miss a thing, watched live to probably half a dozen shows a week.

Discovered Ewen and the British Tech Network, and love it, real people with real world use for the stuff they discuss, not found a single guest on the shows that make me want to turn off and not listen, which is not how i feel about out podcasts.

I think a lot of my enthusiasm is as many have said its has a real UK based slant to it, and they certainly aren’t frightened to take the mick out of themselves.

Must listen!

Ewen and his worldwide contributors provide a fun and informative look at the current Apple and Mac scene.

I've finally unsubscribed. Was better in the past but these days it's full of uninformed and self opinionated tripe. The guests are sometimes good but the main presenter often does not give them a chance. Bye bye.

Update: Best Mac podcast out there. Easily. Hands down. Check it out!

Great show - I listen every week. Highlights include Adam (always professional), Ewan (often provocative and strong anchor), Doc Rock (great non-UK perspective) and Patrice (great european viewpoint).

I will generally prioritise listening to this podcast over other tech podcasts.

The sum of the presenters is really greater than the individual contibutions and the occasional conflict adds spice.

But please one plea... and I think you know it already... be more positive about some of the great things that Apple does. God knows, Apple have been inviting criticsim in recent months... but must try to resist the temptation. I know that the reason for some of the negative views is a wider feeling in the community that Apple are becoming too corporate, fashion, money centric - all valid points.

... but the products are still (on the whole) pretty awesome.

Keep up the great work.

This is a good show and well worth is listen. Apple fan boys occasionally being slapped down by hosts. Left field comments from Will Green about God knows what are missed though

Ewen & the team do a great job with this light hearted look at the week in all things Apple. However I feel there is something missing ever since that watershed moment when Will Green picked his own bum (for pick of the week mind)! Ever since then he appears to have been barred from the show. Hmm, I feel a conspiracy theory brewing.

In the interest of full disclosure Greeny did not pay me to big him up to this epic proportion.

This used to be an engaging, articulate and fun podcast but over the last year or so has deteriorated into nastiness, name calling and ignorance. This podcasts best days are truly behind it.

The host is spiteful and vindictive and talks down to others who don't share his particular view on anything tech related or political.

Do yourself a favour and listen to the many other articulate and interesting Apple podcasts out there than waste your time with this one.

I love this show and never miss an episode. It's a great way to keep up with Apple news with a nice mix of fanboy and cynicism and filled with tons of laughs. It is hosted excellently and guests are always entertaining. Not only is this podcast great but the network of Apple shows from everyone involved keeps my podcast playlist constantly ticking over. Keep up the great work!

My life over the last couple of weeks has been empty wondering why I wasn't getting my weekly dose of The Mac Show, to only realise just before the iPhone event that my podcast app of choice had unsubscribe me. The joy that ran over me not only had I got The Mac Show back, I'd got it back in time for the comedy gold that is the Ewen and co talking all over Tim and the gang.

The show is well worth a listen, it's like a cross between 12 Angry Men and Anchor Man. Don't always agree with the panel, but then again it's always good to listen to an argument from a different point of view.

A suitably irreverent romp ruminating on things of an apple nature, a varied selection of hosts telling it as they see it. Usually informative but frequently entertaining. (It also often has all the tweetbot notifications and Skype sounds any podcast could wish for!)

I reviewed this podcast originally in December 2015. I gave it 5 stars but did criticise the amount of bad language because it meant, having young kids, I was limited as to when and where I could listen to it. Glad to say it has been toned down a touch. The podcast is one I listen to every week. The panel of guests range from the 'fanboy' to 'critic' which means Apple products and news are properly discussed and debated. With a great panel Chair (Ewen) and regulars like Adam, Doc and Patrice, I have learned a vast amount about Mac OS and iOS tips and features I wouldn't have had any knowledge of. The discussions are lively, informative and sometimes heated (though like any group of mates they don't fall out). The weekly 'cool things' is also excellent (although it can be a threat to the bank balance) with games and hardware suggestions to keep any Apple fan happy. Fully recommend this podcast (as I would the Big Show for non-Apple tech).

The posdcast is funny and informative with some interesting discussions about varying subjects that are loosley connectd to Mac and or Tech. I do feel a little sorry for some of Ewens guests when he gets a rant on, but they don't seem to mind as the return the following week, even Patrice who got a right ear bending the other month. I used to really like this podcast and listened every week.

Recently the team decided to discuss Brexit and how those who voted to manage their own country had no sense.

- This is not a political podcast

- Brexit has nothing to do with Macs

- calling about 20 million people stupid is a bit..well..stupid

- If they understood economics well enough to pass judgement then they would not be making this podcast

I've now listened to the Mac Show for about three years. It it a great show and although I rarely listen to it live I look forward to it popping into my podcast app every week. I really enjoy listening to the guys and girls opinions and feel like I know them all. Very informative and a great laugh. Keep it coming Ewan😀

The guests vary from week to week which adds to the variety.

A great mix of knowledge, banter and shenanigans. Warning COOL THINGS part if the show can be bad for your wallets health :)

After being a faithful listener to TWITs Mac break Weekly I became annoyed with there one sided views. I discovered the Mac Show and thank god.

A balanced argument, sometimes heated but everyone remains friends. I like the way we get the view to how Apple products effect the UK instead of just the USA point of view. The swearing also helps to keep me focused.

Definitely well worth a listen, Keep up the good work lads.

Tone it down a bit. The language is very unprofessional and the show is not very well put together.

Out of all the podcasts I subscribe to and I subscribe to a lot ! This and the big show are the ones I most look forward too. It's like top gear for tech geeks :-)

Enjoyable and highly entertaining podcast with strong opinions from both sides of the discussions.

I don't always agree with their point of view but that's what makes it refreshing.

And now we know what Santa Claus does for the other 364 days of the year! He hangs out amongst us disguised as a professional photographer called Ewen Rankin. And when he and his happy elves are not busy delivering presents they produce jolly podcasts about all our favourite toys from Apple. These shows are an excellent complement to Leo Laporte’s TWIT network, slightly less slick and “American", but the recent investment in a new studio have boosted the production values. Every Apple lover should try this podcast. Or Santa may take you off his “Nice” list… : (

I love this podcast. I like the international panel, as you get a wide range of views, and some excellent tips and product reviews. Ewan hosts it really well, there's lots of humour and they seem to take a lot of time and trouble to improve the listening experience for us. Thanks to all, I appreciate it!

If your looking for light-hearted, good humoured banter from a group of Apple aficionados, this is the podcast for you. Excellent and knowledgable guests kept under control by the ‘Host with the Most’ Ewen. This is one of my must-have podcasts for my daily commute and since the move to the new studio (or maybe the purchase of a Mac Pro), my only previous gripe about sound quality seems to have been cured. Good work boys and girls.

I'd need to check, but I'm guessing I've been listening to The Mac Show since 2011 or 2012, leastways since it was called BagelTech ( why, I didn't ask ? ).

The Mac Show has changed over the years, both in terms of guests ( remember Dr Happy Mac ? ) and in terms of venue ( Ewen's still breaking in the new studio ), but the quality of the content remains as high as ever.

There's definitely humour, and it's often of the quirky style not "seen" on other tech podcasts, but it is clear that the guests - Kelly, Doc, Adam, Don, Paul etc. clearly know their stuff - as does the host :-)

In short, this, along with TWiT, is definitely part of my week's listening, especially as I continue to get more embroiled in the world of 

The best UK Mac podcast with a down the pub with your mates approach. Doesn’t get bogged down with geekiness and doesn’t take itself too seriously. Check out their other Podcasts too like BIG show and Pocket show. More of the same great stuff.

I have been listening to the MAC show for a number of years and thought it was about time to leave a review to not only tell the world how much of an amazing show it is but also to show my gratitude to the team over at the British Tech Network.

The MAC show is a well rounded engaging podcast that doesn’t suffer the hype or commercialism of some of the american ones, and yet is extremely well produced and the engagement between the hosts and guests would leave one feeling it is being funded by one of the large broadcasting/publishing operations.

Ewan as a host is both funny and informative and while attempting to steer the show in a general direction is prepared to allow conversation to flow organically ensuring it is always an educating and entertaining listen. I also want to say that Kelly although incredibly vocal is one of my favourite hosts with her rants deserving a show on their own. A big thank you to the remainder of the guests, such as Jeff and Doc with Will Green and Wrightey ensuring the UK perspective is ever present.

Thanks again to all that take part, I signed up for the Patreon once it was launched and once i graduate and actually have an income will raise my donation to ensure I continue to show my gratitude. Thoroughly enjoyable and funny podcast talking about the tech and community. Don’t come here to be informed and educated on hyper geeky aspects of the Unix core of iOS and OS X, you won’t find it.

I look forward to this podcast every week and often find myself checking the feed in case the team has decided to upload an impromptu additional episode. I like the laid back approach that the guys have and it's certainly not a carbon copy of other shows on the same, or similar, topics. It's an indispensable addition to my commute, bed time or lavatory time. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to donate to the show (as I work for minimum wage and am saving every penny for drama school which I begin in September) but if I could I certainly would. Always a pleasure to listen to! Cheers, guys!

I have subscribed to this show from the beginning when it was founded by the Bagel Tech network and I have never missed a show.

The entertainment factor is normally very good because the host doesn’t mind lashing out at the the fanboys who are mostly from the US. When the fanboys start defending Apple at all costs the host steps in with a hefty slice of 'feet on the ground' realism.

My only criticism is that there are not enough brits on the show but I guess that is because the US market is very large. The best shows nearly always have Will Green as a guest. He is a classic English eccentric. Shame he doesn’t have his own podcast ;)

A good mixture of opinion and entertaining arguing with lots of irreverent humour. Thank you for all the hard work that goes into keeping the network going.

I first started to listen to this as I wanted a new coat and wanted to get a British perspective on coats. To my surprise it was about fruit,apples to be more precise. Anyway I carried on listening and throughly enjoyed it the mix of British and American views and banter was great. Anyway off the find a water proof coat podcast.

I listen to a lot of podcasts and The Mac Show is by far my favourite. Not only is it very entertaining, it's has a great team with a lot different views. 5 star!

American tech podcasts are great - but often way too PC. This is a more irreverent British look at tech that you won’t find elsewhere - with plenty of piss taking and general nonsense!

Warning: You need a sense of humour to listen.

The only problem is the theme music which should be on a sanitary napkin advert - or an iPod ad from 2002.

irreverent at times? absolutely! filled with interesting news? mostly (some weeks its a slow Apple week but the panel still manages to make interesting comment) … all in all a great listen each and every week. I enjoy all of the panel inputs even if Will does go off on one at times …. and there are moments of real laugh out loud humour. Keep it up guys and gal.

No longer one of my must listens. The once familiar and likeable panel is long gone - replaced by an inconsistent and irregular troupe. The oft repeated goal to sound like mates down the pub is still true - though now it sounds more like the chaos of closing time rather than people having fun.

Great Show, it just keeps on getting better and better!

It's funny and informative, and in my opinion it's one of the best podcasts around for information on Apple and their product ranges.

It's up there with the other great Apple based podcast like Leo Laporte's Macbreak Weekly and Adam Christiansons MacCast.

Being a Mac geek, I’m so torn between whether this, or Mac Power Users is my favourite podcast and I think the Mac Show has just edged it. I listen to it religiously every week on my drive to work and I frequently burst out laughing behind the wheel yet it isn’t all about laughs, they dive into a lot of detail when it comes to the news stories of the week. Also, each guest has to deliver their cool tip of the week at the end and this bit really does make you hang on tip the end of the podcast. I love the British Tech Network Shows and I’ve just subscribed to the Pocket Show which I’m looking forward to.

British Tech podcasts are a must subscription for every tech enthusiast, geek or fanboy! The shows strike a good balance of “mates in the pub” and informative tech news - it’s The Mac show, Big Show and Pocket Show which keep me company on my daily commute.

Ewen hosts the shows well and keeps the subjects moving (once he’s located Kelly’s mute button that is…) and with a great panel which includes Don McAllister, Jeff Gamet, Adam Christianson & Kelly you get a global opinion of Apple news. Great to see/hear new guest panellists and old favourites to keep the panel fresh.

Great podcast that balances humour with information and a great selection of guests. Ewen hosts the show with a great touch and ensures the show is fun to listen to (he is so good he uses a Window’s phone and still allowed to host!). Adam, Jeff, Don & the legend that is Will Green always bring a different perspective to the show (Adam’s & Jeff perspective based on fact and American influence, Don always gives a balanced view - Will’s just from his own unique mind).

The new guests are bringing a new flavour to the show (enjoyed Doc) and the G+ community is excellent.

Special mention to Ewen & Don who always respond on Twitter to comments and questions.

This podcast is brilliant, i have been listening now for quite a long time, and have never been disappointed. It’s like listening to a bunch of mates in the pub. Ewen is a great host, and Will Green is never less than outstanding. It is informative, doesn’t take itself too seriously and most of all, its light hearted and fun.
