I always look forward to this show as one of my favourites and eagerly await its availability. Must be a really great listen if you can find the time each week for the live show. Only trouble is it's let down by the erratic and random posting of the recordings.

Well done to Ewan and the superb team for another great year! Informative and always fun. Simply the best Mac podcast in the world.

This truly has been a revelation! Informed debate with a great panel, not the usual Apple Fanboy stuff with the guests not afraid to criticse when justified. A great community around the show that engages outside of show times. BTN are producing some great stuff that deserves higher praise. Thanks very much everyone and long may it continue.

Its like watching some sort of disfunctional super hero team brought together for the common good of Mac. I like it like that, it works, its funny and informative and unlike other casts I listen too these guy are not afraid to voice there opinions and bring a practical knowledge which I find very useful.

I've been a long time listener of BTN and what a Network it is. Some fantastic panellists, Ewen does an outstanding job and deserves so much praise and respect for the work he does bringing Thousands the best in news every week with this show. Love the amount of banter you get, and hearing Muller (I think its Muller) laughing in the background adds to the show so well.

I’m a long time listener (+UK2 customer through BTN) though I only mainly listern from the car travelling between customer sites in Switzerland.

I have to say this show and the others I listern too on the BTN network (News and BIG) are great but not too serious at the same time. Ewen the host manages the guests and the direction of the show with a humorous touch and an occasional bevvy supported by his guests.

My hat off to him for get a word in edgeways when Kelly is speaking! I love to hear her west coast accent but boy she likes to talk!

Of all the podcast I listen to this is my favourite. Plenty of humour and great conversion. The British Tech Network gets my vote every time.

I’ve been watching for a couple of years now, Ewin gets great guests every week, the show doesn’t take it’s self to seriously. Don’t expect a fan boy show, its defiantly not that, but its thoroughly enjoyable and well worth watching. Balanced discussions with a great sense of humor, and the odd smattering of Will Green.

Disappointing from the MAWG during the show - just because you don’t like modern music or understand it does not mean it does not have a place. By the way I am a 39 years old and hate new music but understand this is how younger people connect with it. Ewen’s huffing and puffing and put down’s about anything new through most of the broadcast was also irritating from a man who normally has some valid and interesting points !

this show has improved with every episode with a good host and panel and some humour i only wish i could afford to give towards this network thank you. ps be nice to Kelly

Ewen and the team are informative, work well together and are really funny.

They give me hours of entertainment, it’s just like been down the pub with your mate’s.

This used to be a staple of my weekly podcast listening. Loved having a listen with a diverse and knowledgable panel but recently has gone downhill and that's down the a couple of reasons.

1) the host. There's been a distinct shift in Euans outlook on all things Apple and nowhere has this been exemplified by his reaction to the Apple Watch. He's so blinkered by his hatred for this yet to be released product that it clouds the entire discussion with panelists and ends in Euans monologues about why this shows Apple are doomed etc etc.

2) Quality of panelists has gone downhill with some who come on and contribute very little throughout and aren't helped by others dominating the conversation whilst adding very little. The host does very little to incorporate everyone and stimulate debate as long as it cuts his agenda.

It pains me to write this review as I was a one time devotee but feels like the glory days are well past this podcast and network. Much better ones out there if you want to get some interesting Apple news and discussion.

Firstly, got to say Kelly was bang-on last episode; even Martha Lane Fox on the recent Richard Dimbleby Lecture mentioned Apple missing period tracking in Heathkit was a massive oversight, that having more women around coding might surely have not been missed, lol!

Anyway... Ewan and Paul are surely the hardest working guys in tech podcasting, certainly this side of the pond. My shows are Mac and Big (never missed downloads), but there are so many weekly shows for all tech lovers and beyond, that they deserve a bit more luuurve. Keep it up guys, but do get some sleep!

And props to the regulars Adam, Kelly, Doc, Wrighty, et al ... SHABBA!

If you are interested in mac’s this is the show for you. Ewan does a great job keeping me informed about everything Apple related. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, and Will Green is always entertaining, especially when he goes off at a tangent with his magical thinking. Best apple related podcast available. A must watch. I'm a long time Mac user, love all things Apple and have been listening to Apple podcasts for years. This is without doubt my favourite though, not just because for a change its actually British, but its funny and informative as well, plus being a Londoner, the British sense of humour shown by the likes of Ewan and Greenie is always welcome in my book! I'm also a proud Patreon donator. Long may the Mac Show continue!

The cast varies from week to week and this show is always entertaining... there are ALWAYS teething troubles with the stream and connections but that is part of the charm.

Highlights for me include :

Ewen who does a sterling job of keeping the show moving and has an informal and relaxed style.

Kyle is rock solid.

Adam always adds professionalism.

Andy's appearances are a rare treat.

...and the the hilarious Will Green who I think sometimes becomes close to a parody of himself.

The mix of UK and US perspective is invaluable.

I have been listening to the show for around 6 months, I think it is a fantastic show, and like anything erudite… not everybody will understand it. It’s fun, informative and does not take itself too seriously.. something we could all learn from! Thanks Ewan for your hard work and giving me something else to look forward to every week! in fact due to a review last week that was less than complementary and a tad personal, I have decided to set up a direct payment to you guys through Patreon and just increased it from $5 - $10 per month. I would love to see this show more than once a week! its taken me months to “understand” this show… it has an understated elegance about it, anyway thanks Ewan and best of luck, I am a small business at present, although when I “grow” so will my pledge to you, thanks guys!!!!!

Doesn’t generally tell you anything you don’t already know, if you’re in any way interested in the Mac world. However, it’s alright to have burbling in the background while you do something else. Best thing about it is the tech picks from the co-presenters at the end- although the mildly irritating David Brent-esque host rarely comes up with anything of interest. Shame Will Green appears on here more often than on his own podcast, where he is amusing rather than frustrating. Most sense comes from Adam.

.. any show that mentions keith Chegwin is going to be fun, both this and the big show are excellent shows, Ewen Rankin host one of the most amusing Tech podcasts he and his guest clearly love talking tech, it more like mate in a pub … its perfect

A well balanced Mac Podcast, they give an objective view of everything Apple! The good, the bad and the plain stupid. A great variety of guests from Ken, Adam, Kelly, Tom and Andy amongst others, even Will Green makes more appearances on this podcast than he does on his own (Only Kidding Will) Great Job Ewen, keep up the good work.

Just Woken up in the local accident and emergency dept clutching my sides with tears rolling down my rosy red cheeks. It took a while to recall that nights events but managed to remember it was all due to watching Santa Does Mac on the British Tech Network. Santa’s fowl mouth, coming onto Kelly, and not hanging up on Greeny like a love sick teenager, caused me to laugh so hard i tripped over the coffee table, just managed to side step the cat, but came crashing down to head but the Dyson on the way to the floor. Because of this bloody show I have bought a mac.......£2000! Yes the show is that good! I have been banned from listening to the podcast in bed because I keep the wife awake with laughing. Best I not tell her how much my mac cost, I maybe then, unable to laugh for some time.......

I am a bit of a latecomer to the whole podcasting thing despite being a Mac user of 25+ years. However onceI discovered how entertaining podcasts could be I soon discovered the British Tech Network…

Ewan and the various other contributors always have something interesting to say and always make me laugh out loud at least once in each show - usually intentionally but occasionally just because it all goes a bit wrong :D

Keep it up people - I am now a regular follower of the Mac Show, Big Show, and iOS Show.

Makes me laugh every time I watch the show. Feels like it has about 40% content on the MAC and the rest is just a tangent but that's the appeal. Actually very informative and a must if you like your Mac.

Very good host (Ewen Rankin) who never lets things get to serious and a good range of regular guests.

Despite host Ewen's best efforts to maintain a respectable silliness level, the wonderful pan-global panel always deliver an informative, insightful view on the week's Mac and Apple news.

How do I say Will Green's tangents can be quite tedious without upsetting him, or should I just say that Will Green's tangents can be quite tedious especially when his Skype quality is so poor at times that you can't understand him, or that sometimes he gets over-excited and will talk over another guest when they're making an interesting/valid/serious/much funnier point.

Talking of which, there are many many opportunities to interrupt the guests with their many interesting, valid, serious or funny points, because this podcast has a very strong line-up most weeks and (maybe) the non-US-centric focus allows or encourages the US-contributors to raise their game even further. Prominent regulars include Andy Ihnatko 'of the Chicago Sun Times', Chris Foresman of Arstechnica (which never gets a laugh), Don McAllister of ScreenCastsOnline (every pod-cast requires a token scouser) and Kelly (from the other pod-cast with the rude name in it).

It's all good stuff.

There are various technical issues, but mostly these are limited to Will Green's audio.

If you'd like a refreshingly non-US-centric look at what's interesting and new in the world of Apple, give it a watch.

…if you took Will Green out, it just wouldn't be the same.

If you are looking for a friendly way of hearing all news Apple and Mac then this is the show for you. Can sometimes go off on a tangent and Ewen the host must sometimes feel that he is herding cats! All of this however, does not take away from the show and in many cases adds a slant to what could be very dry conversation.

I listen to a lot of podcasts. For most, if I miss the odd episode I'm not bothered, but The Mac Show is not to be missed. It's a light hearted look at Mac news with a great cast of regular guests and an often irreverent attitude. If you're looking for a serious gritty summary of the week's tech news then this isn't it, but if you're looking for a fun show, staffed by enthusiast who know how to have some fun, there isn't a better podcast.

I listen to a LOT of podcasts (generally one on my walk into work and one on the way out) and, in a lot of cases, versions from the British Tech Network have taken over from their flashier and glitzier and emptier US counterparts.

Never afraid to say what they think (and sometimes I wonder if they ought to be just a little bit) the show is full of character characters. Well worth your time…

An obligatory mention about Will Green: he is the British Columbo. An allegedly bumbling metaphorical raincoat hiding a razor sharp brain… Incisive and cunning. Holmesian he is, although his Alec Guinness impression isn't quite as good as it could be.

I came across this podcast after a random search on iTunes and have now listened to the last 12 episodes and would recommend as one of the best.

At last I find a podcast delivered by people with the same interests and passions as myself e.g. macs and photography. I listen to this on my weekly 3 hour commute to work which makes my journey a pleasure.

Why does Will Green spend more time on your show than his own?

Good British podcasts. A few Americans seem to have snuck (sneaked) in.

For the most part I have enjoyed watching 'The Mac Show' podcast. It has it's annoyances - Will Green for one, though he has toned down his random tangents and whining a lot recently. Ewen too often seems a bit anti-Apple for an Apple oriented podcast but the show is saved by guests like Adam Christianson, Don McAllister, Andy Ihnatko and Chris Foresman.

Five stars if Will Green continues to be less annoying and Ewen learns to see the Apple news from more sides of the coin.

I have been in the Apple ecosystem for two years now and have iPads, iPhones and an iMac. Listen to lots of podcasts - mostly American based - and this one is the one I love the most. Informative but not in a classroom manner, great banter and Will Green always managed to make me laugh at least once. Ewan hosting is great - nice tone and easy to listen too. I have now subscribed to Don's Screencast website due to this. DHM & Chris are excellent contributors to the show with very informative info.

Keep up the excellent work and I promote your show to anyone new to Apple.

I've listened to many tech related podcasts but the Mac show just beats them all! Hilarious banter as well as informative tech news and brilliant opinions! I wait every week like Christmas eve to download the new episode and throughly enjoy every second!

I've been watching this show for almost a year and never miss an episode. With semi-regulars like Don McAllister, Tom Merritt and Andy Ihnatko you get insightful analysis with a occasionally comedic edge.

Also, Will Green is a very happy man and not an Apple hater at all… He said so himself...

A great show for Mac users who don't take themselves too seriously but still want all the latest news, info and rumours. My second favourite Mac show in the world (and in Britain). Alas my favourite show is very very sporadic (part of its charm)! Fortunately there is some commonality from time to time - I think I need to say no more.
