Fab comics podcast

Gary Lactus and The Beast Must Die host a great comics chat podcast, which is actually almost completely about comics, and not endless film/TV chat (like a couple of other podcasts I've tried). Regular reviews about new, and sometimes older, titles/runs, matey chat between the guys (and guy and gal guests); an occasional 'Silence! The Film Has Started' film review slot; with vocal and randomly-knocking-over-stuff-type contributions from the wonderful Galacta-cats. Always a laugh, this is my favourite comics podcast from a couple of guys who obviously know their Moebius from their Miller (Frank, not Mark - sorry, Mark).

I liked it, it was good

Silence is a great comics podcast. Between the reviewniverse and inter galactic travel Gary Lactus & The Beast Must Die regale us with interesting tales of their formative years.
.....basically this pod cast is like sitting around chatting comics with your mates. So if you like comics, but don't have any friends, then you're in for a treat!
Don't mind Bobsy, he gets that way.

5 Stars For 2 Comics Podcasting Stars

I like to listen to this very enjoyable informal comics chat podcast when I am doing things like driving and/or walking to work, loading and unloading the dishwasher, and washing up the bits that do not fit and/or go in the dishwasher.

The best!

I like it best when they don't talk about comics...

SILENCE! My ears are filled with delicious pods

Gary Lactus and The Beat Must Die (and occasionally Bobsy) count their piles give a run down of the weeks comics in their own funny, yet informative manner. I've only started listening quite recently but genuinely love this show. I've picked up some great recommendations that I wouldn't have known about otherwise (I mean Copra, Bobsy) and their dulcit tones block out the deranged idiocy of my fellow commuters. Plus, they look so sweet whilst they're sleeping.... I could stand watching them all night (and occasionally do). Two thumbs up!

Lo, there shall come a podcast!

Gary Lactus and The Beast Must Die, along with occasional contributor Bobsy, share pithy opinions on comics, get a bit drunk, go for wees and have all KINDS of fun in the Reviewniverse. As I can't join them, being stuck in a Dread Dimension and all, I like to download them thoroughly once a week and give them a good listening to. You should too.

Fantastic Admin, best I've ever heard. They do witter on about comics at the end but you can turn that off.

SILENCE! is still being made and you should listen.

A charming mix of honest enthusiasm plus genuine world weariness. I choose SILENCE! I wish they wouldn’t burp so often, though.

SILENCE must not fall

Do you see what I did there? Dr Who reference to make you think this was connected to a popular television show?
Well, it is sometimes…
SILENCE! is my favourite podcast to listen to at the gym - I chuckle while the rest of the room grunts. Sometimes I guffaw, but that’s not a good idea when there are muscle men admiring each other’s biceps….

Super Hot Comics Jot

Despite the misleading name (this podcast is far from silent, friends) I overcame my initial anger and smiled from heart to hearth at the wise words being spake by the two special men. Thank you x

Like Depeche Mode, I "Enjoy The Silence"

...and I think you will too. Not the songs, though. I fast-forward them.

Must we throw this comics filth at our kids?

A very entertaining comics based podcast, complete with ramshackle cul-de-sacs that doesn't take it self too seriously and regularl makes me laugh,
The answer to my question in the title would therefore be a resounding yes (they may learn some new swears but that's part of the charm).

I like it when!

I like it when a comic book, and I like it even better when the SILENCE! boys do a little pod about a comic book.
Despite the fact that this podcast comes from a website, on the internet, on a computer screen, and is hosted by The Beast Must Die and Gary Lactus, SILENCE! manages to sustain the illusion that you are just listening to a couple of actual human beings talking (and occasionally singing) about things they like and enjoy. Which is nice.
The episode with the lovely Scottish lad talking/singing about the Hulk was the best one - more from him for longer! - but SILENCE! is now an essential part of my weekly grind.
Thank you SILENCE!
Thank you, The Internet!

Please Help in the War Against Alanis Morrissette

Recently I purchased an album by the Canadian singer Alanis Morrissete. Excitedly, I went home and excitedly listened to the CD. I was shocked and appalled. She does not sing EVEN ONE cover of a Morrissey song on the entire album. This kind of false advertising is outrageous.
The 'Silence' podcast by Gary Lactus and Beast Must Die helps me get through my anger at times like this. Their discussions of the latest comics are worthy but still full of p*ss-taking. I especially enjoy the jingles.

SILENCE! Is the GREATEST!

It's the only comics podcast that's worthy of the name - the rest are merely ghostly shadows on the walls of the internet. I suggest you sign up for SILENCE! NOW!!

What podcast did you listen to on your holidays

Even though I am only eight and a half, I like the mindless ones and their chat. I do not understand all the big words and I do not feel sure when they use bad word but I like it when they sing. It makes me laugh.
I am going out to play now. Good bye!
