Fascinating podcast, full of facts, fun and insights, helping me to get the most out of the Australian Open. I love it.
As an aside, the presenters’ pronunciation of Hsieh Su-Wei’s family name as “Che” / “Shay” seems a little strange to me, but what do I know? In my experience, Hsieh usually sounds like “see-yeah”, said very quickly, with very little emphasis on the “yeah”. The character is 谢. Perhaps “Che” is dialect - ?

Formally a good pod until they got some very strange geeky bloke on it. Now to scared to express their opinions. Proper petrified of crossing any line and ramming the “PC” narrative down everyone’s throats daily. awful

Excellent!

Love this podcast, love David Law's enthusiasm, Catherine (although can be little heavy politically) is funny, from arguments with US Open bus drivers, pushed into the hedges at R.G. or the classic stung by a wasp live :-). Matt is great (was worried about the balance when they said Matt was joining them, but he's a hit and definitely couldn't imagine it without him now). Tennis relived got me through 2020 more than they could possibly know. Became a kick-starter backer (love to support this), All are very knowledgeable and the banter works really well, always return to back episodes out walking the dog and brilliant pieces on past players, love guests like Mary etc .. too many great things to list.. Thank you Tennis Podcast!

Great but sometimes drifts too much to dogs

Best tennis podcast by far. Matt has been an extremely great addition - brilliant knowledge. He clearly spends time but also clearly has a naturally great memory for stars.
The nostalgia pods were amazing. Best thing they have done. More please.
The only slightly grating things is the dogs obsession. You don’t hear David endlessly talking about his kids so why does Catherine have free reign. It’s dull.

Could be a lot better if they weren't so biased towards Federer

Very biased against Nadal and Djocovid. And far, far too much talk about dogs.

Still my fave podcast but ...

Matt a great addition and very knowledgeable.

I first listened to the Pod in 2015-2017 and then somewhere along the line it fell out of my life :( Then in an inspired moment in 2019 I fondly recalled being sat on the edge of my chair waiting for any miscellaneous discussion about Laura Robson, Heather Watson, any Brit you could think of. Then I vowed to myself to rekindle that joy, and here I am now! I started watching tennis in 2014 and was amazed by Watson v Halep for some reason in RG round 2. My passion for tennis grew at that instant and I followed especially the Brits super intently, writing down every pro result of every ranked Brit through Resultina with a page for each individual player. That has since subsided as the half hour every morning was lots of work for results I already knew😂, but I guess it was my way of portraying my passion for tennis. The tennis podcast almost weaned me off this; it felt like I was talking to someone and that I wasn’t the only person who knew about the promising world number 1300 winning their first 15k title. You guys mix having fun with giving information perfectly and make my day with your pods😊. I sound philosophical, I’m only 16 this year😂 Hope a 5 star review pays some way to thank you for the joy😄

Always waiting on the next episode...

My go to podcast for all things tennis (NCR is also good but I find it more hit and miss). Their rapport, knowledge and experience is what makes this such a good and reliable listen. They fact they have remained one of my favourites over lockdown with very little tennis on says it all.
Some other reviews moan about Catherine’s “feminist” views or their tangents off into other areas sometimes, but they are three different people with their own views and experiences, which makes their discussion an enjoyable listen.

Yes I (one of the ball kids coaches who unknowingly jolted you out of your sad & deep thoughts in the hotel reception last night) did listen to the end of your ATP finals day podcast (of course I did) so thank you for the mention. How come you didn’t let your co-presenters know that as we clapped you to the lift you managed to bounce off the reception desk! I hope you did not injure yourself. A fantastic podcast, love the humour and I really look forward to hearing more from you all. Stay well. Stay hopeful.

The reason most people listen to & have done for many years is to hear about tennis, the constant drone about dogs from Catherine is so off putting & such a waste of time that I usually fast forward & is simply annoying 90% of your listenership. I also don’t like her tone towards David, who she needs to very much remember helped ‘kickstart’ her career. David’s & now Matts outstanding tennis knowledge are the main reason people listen in, David is the back bone to the show, & I admire his patience when not biting back at some of the comments put his way. As of late her extreme feminist views have also started to dominate the agenda as well. Maybe it is about time we have one tour, I totally agree, where for full equality the woman also play the men, let’s see how much equal prize money Serena (what a lovely human!) wins against the top men. I could go on, anyway I do love the show, but just don’t want to continue seeing it ruined.

Good podcast but

This is a good podcast for fans of tennis. The main downside is the team keep going on about the lack of crowds. This is very annoying because the quality of tennis watching on tv does not need crowds and sometimes it is preferable not having crowds interfering with the tennis. So please consider some of us just enjoy the tennis and not having crowds is not an issue to us. We are lucky to see tennis at all so stop the annoying and selfish narrative.

I found this podcast in 2019 and loved it- never missed an episode
Last few months the tone seems to have changed so I have downgraded my review to 3 stars only in the hope it might change
Catherine seems to be turning into Nicola Sturgeon....if I want opinions rammed down my throat in an aggressive and contrary manner where everyone else is always wrong I’ve got NS and I don’t need Catherine to follow this approach. You can almost hear that David is irritated by this but he rises above it. Matt is great !

Recently, with a heavy heart, I unsubscribed. I found this podcast several years ago and loved it when it was a tennis podcast. More recently it has become a political podcast, overly concerned with “righting the world’s wrongs”.
There are other podcasts out there for those of a political persuasion. I just wanted tennis results and stories. Such a shame.
PS - Matt was a great addition and was really coming into his own as a broadcaster.

Matt, Catherine and David provide an excellent dynamic and foil to each other while talking about all things related to tennis (as well as dogs which I am a huge fan of). Truly the best and most dedicated tennis podcast I’ve listened to, you should definitely give it a try and support the work done here

It’s a podcast that I always look forward to and never miss. David, Catherine and Matt invariably produce excellent, entertaining and informative podcasts and their personal interactions are always fun to overhear. Their podcasts this year have almost made up for the very limited amount of tennis. Roll on next year when we shall, hopefully, have more tennis.
The video about Cam, the French Open 2020 mascot was perfectly charming and reduced me to tears. A worthy winner!

That there’s any tennis podcast, particularly during dreadful 2020 is cause for celebration.
These three take it up a notch. They cover the present, future and more importantly the history of tennis with a roster of great guests.
It’s a labour of love and lots of learning that the listeners are very much a part of.
Great banter and wit.
My favourite podcast ever.

I wish it was easy to succinctly describe how much I love the tennis podcast. There are so many brilliant things about it; firstly the passion & knowledge Catherine, David & Matt have for tennis is unquestionable. I also love the chemistry between the 3 of them, they clearly are very good mates and that really shows through their back and forths every week. I wish there was a tennis podcast everyday!

Worth going into the archives to listen to Tennis re-lived, a great listen through lockdown.

Tennis Podcast manages to combine being informative with being entertaining. I have only been listening for about 8 months and am often revisiting older episodes which have aged well. The pace and the delivery are appropriate, with the three presenters complimenting each other very well.

Really enjoyed the recent podcasts (not that I have not enjoyed those before) but great to relive great matches, players and stories. I found the Chris Evert podcasts really interesting because like David Law I remember her at Wimbledon in the 80s generally overshadowed by Martina N. Amazing stats on her too.

A must for all tennis fans. We have the feisty Catherine, the strident David and the encyclopaedic Matt. Together they bring their different areas of expertise to bring a witty, enjoyable and very listenable Pod. Never afraid to laugh at themselves and they have some great guests and fantastic interviews. With no live tennis they have upped their game further with the lockdown pods.

If I had to list my friends, the Tennis Podcast would be in my top 5! I didn't hear about it until 2019 from my friend Mike (also in my top 5) while we were making our first trip from London over to Roland Garros. I haven't missed an episode since and, like good radio, it's like having a friend in the room or on a walk with you if you happen to be on your own. It works because the three presenters really want to make the podcast (even after a long day, recording at 2am) so there's genuine enthusiasm there, plus of course they all love tennis and want to chat about it. Recommended.

I really enjoy the tennis podcast and eagerly await the release of each episode. As a teenager stuck at home and a massive tennis fan I think you should definitely recommend the tennis podcast to any of your friends who are tennis fans. Catherine and David are great main presenters with a lot of experience and it’s great what Matt has now brought to the table. You should also definitely subscribe to the newsletter for even more insight and some great stats from Matt. The pods are weekly (but is usually 2-a-week right now which is great 👍🏻) and daily during the grand slams. The Tennis Podcast has everything from Bruce Springsteen to Viktoria Kuzmova, unpacked suitcases to Mousecapades and is by far my favourite podcast.

I love the podcast. The knowledge of the three presenters and the interactions between them is amazing. The daily shows are fantastic at the slams.
But...a star off for the increasingly dull feminist positioning from Catherine when not even remotely connected to a topic, gradually making it more and more difficult to listen to.

Absolutely loving this podcast.
I used to be able to watch lots of tennis when my son was younger and I was at home more but over the last few years I’ve seen less and less of the ATP tour and even struggled to follow Wimbledon this year.
I discovered your podcast in the late summer and have been listening to it since, it’s got me right back into tennis.
I usually listen to you guys whilst I’m walking my dog (Cockapoo, best dog in the world) or cooking...
If it wasn’t for this podcast I don’t think I would have bothered watching the ATP finals, and certainly not the final because I didn’t really know anything about Thiem or Tsitsipas. I’m so pleased I did watch the finals this week because there have been some great matches.
Rafa has been my favourite since 2006 and always will be but after the Final last night I think I’m Team Tsitsipas!
I have Amazon Prime so will be keeping up with the tour over the next year. Catherine, you talked about interviewing Rafa on Amazon Prime how do I find that interview?
Thanks
Margaret
