Not as good as the original

The original series was incredible....until episode 74 when most of the cast had left. This would be a great series but the one thing that stops it from being so is Blaine Capatch I get that he's a comedian but playing with a keyboard in the middle of a podcast has to be one of the stupidest things ever and it annoys me that none of the cast thought to tell him to stop it's distracting and irritating!

Used to be great, but what happened?

I hate to be brutal here but in Short I loved everything up to episode 74, the original 'and friends' where fun to listen to and as each member has left or been replaced the show now feels like a shell of what it once was.
All that seemed to happen when blain took over as DM was a series of giant battles with no real drive to why eventually all the attacks and dice rolling just faded into the background while listening till eventually I stopped.
I think in the early episodes there was a point where the group took a break for a while & what resulted once everyone came back was engaging storytelling that had had us caring for everyone's characters and even NPCs.
I don't mean to put down the new cast and even the new DM but I have to admit I am still holding out
hope for that one day When I see 'Sark Returns!' In my subscription box.

Awful

Mostly about a bunch of really creepy guys making lots of sick and sexist jokes while playing d and d. Definitely something to avoid.

Well i never !

I stumbled upon this podcast when the guys were running around on some strange platforms in a random panic, after two minutes i decided to give it three more minutes before deleting, after ten minutes i was hooked, im 46 years old, never played and have no intention of playing d&d, but Hey Ho that really doesnt matter at all. i laugh out loud throughout the podcast no matter where i am. each person adds their own personality forming a great mix of weirdo. oh, and Sarahs voice gives me shivers down my spine keeep it up guys

Perfect for Newbies!

I found this podcast by chance after episode 4 or 5 and have been hooked since! I've never played D&D and I find the explanations for the non-initiated very helpful. It's funny and there's a narrative too, it's not just random musings... 5 stars!

Top Notch

Brian and his friends are a joy to listen to, hell i'd even listen if they were just locked in a room shooting the breeze. Special note goes to Gerry for being a roleplaying dynamo. Enjoyable podcast and a highlight of my working/listening week. Keep up the great work.

It's great

Please don't be put off by the sterotype of D&D, these guys make it very easy for newcomers to the game to get into it and understand it aswell. They are all funny in their own right but together they are side-splitting.

Fantastic!!!

This is a very enjoyable podcats for someone who doesnt really listen to the. I am not a D&D player but after listening to this i want to have a go. I began listening because I had seen Sark on Machinima Respawn and enjoyed his humour.
Would really reccomend even if not a D&D player, even just listen for the comedy :D

Funny as hell!!!

This is one of the funniest podcasts I've had the pleaser of listening to. It is great when your at work and blackly quotes for the 30th or so time that he has a 19 charisma and the Amarth spanks the hell out of yet another grey robed guy and I burst out laughing not knowing that my boss is standing right behind me!!! :-D
Great podcast keep it up guys look forward to this each week!!

Funny and engaging!

Like some of the other reviewers I don't play D&D but find this podcast really entertaining. Like most successful group podcasts, the key is the friendships between the individuals involved and this really shines here making it a great listen.
There are some great characters created here, and the players don't take them too seriously and are clearly having a great time. Most importantly the podcast is funny and engaging. So if you don't play D&D, don't let that put you off and give this a go.

New favourite podcast

This is a great, great podcast! I was never really a D&D player when younger but still finding this hilarious and it's even making me want to play D&D... a little bit. Brian Posehn is hilarious, as are the friends who join him and the DM is brilliant. Props to him for his storyline (even if the players tend to force him away from his plans and down new routes constantly)

Because Blacky Green Says So!!

Without a doubt, one of the best new podcasts in recent memory.
Having never played dungeons and dragons, wasn't sure what I'd be walking into but the brilliant cast of characters Brian and his friends bring to the table will have you in stitches.
If you are a work listener like me, get ready for the funny looks as you spontaneously erupt with laughter!
THE must download podcast for the start of 2013!

Typical players

One of my coworkers started listening to this podcast and began asking me (a long term GM) if my players were just like these. The answer is yes, yes they are, thousands of pages of notes have been thrown away because of them! These adventures are typical gamers playing a typical game in funny ways!

Worthy of a life

These guys didn't role a 1 when they came up with "Nerd Poker", a Dungeon and Dragons session shared as a podcast. It awoke warm, nostalgic memories in me from when I played D&D: tangentially avoiding the DM's prepared material and the tears of laughter at inappropriate outcomes and disastrous decisions. Their group dynamic works well with great humour and personality. I enjoy spending time with these guys (and girl).
It's story, imagination, laughs and thrills. This was how we played it. It works. Give it your time.

Gripping Adventure

Strong words and slightly tongue in cheek but so is some of the events that take place within this podcast. An easy to listen podcast that is unpredictable and humorous throughout. Never played D and D but it makes me want to try. Big fan of Elron and his bear.
Looking forward to many more.
