I tend to avoid news (not the wisest decision) because it is pretty depressing. But these guys produce it in an entertaining way that makes me able to join in conversations with my friends like I know what I’m talking about! I started listening as Courtney joined and I couldn’t imagine it without her! Keep it up guys! X

This podcast is an awesome way to keep updated on trending news whilst still staying lighthearted and funny, and I look forward to listening every week. Courtney is a wonderful addition- it’s so nice to hear about the stories from her perspective, she has such important insight into how things affect women and minorities which was sometimes lacking before. Also she’s a really good writer and is super funny. Courtney’s so so awesome and genuinely makes this podcast way more fun to listen to. She’s the best. Travis and Brent are cool too.

I'm a college student who doesn't have a lot of time to keep up with the news, so this is a great resource- plus a wonderful ray of sunshine on this terrifying hellscape we call the earth ☺️

p.s. speaking as a 20 something girl, Courtney swears the normal amount. Leave her alone. She's great.

It’s sad that u can’t b more balanced

Right off the bat let me just get my own bias noted, I am a personal friend of one of the hosts. However that’s not the bias I’m referring to... I actually thought this would be a once or twice thing then he’d give up so I didn’t even really listen in until about a year later.

Suffice to say I was wrong, this is a great podcast and I never thought I’d see Brent being the more thoughtful and analytical of two podcast hosts, but Trends like These has actually become my favourite thing to listen to on long drives, which I frequently do for work. It’s great to hear two guys who mesh so well go so deeply and so individually into trending topics. I am throughly impressed.

Trends Like These is always just as entertaining as it is informative. Brent and Travis have great chemistry and it's always a pleasure to hear their opinions and views on the different issues of the week. Beyond the headlines is a great way to stay informed and up to date on what's been doing the rounds on social media. The politics round-up is also a great way for someone from the UK to better understand everything that's going on in US politics.

The guys are amazing and I strongly recommend the show to everyone I know!

Somehow an in depth analysis of the news and trends (including reviewing fake news!) that balances important news and light humour. Educational, interesting and important. Even while having differing political views (on certain stances) I still enjoy and learn a lot from the podcast. Would recommend for anyone, whatever political alignment you have.

Just started listening to this podcast. Started from there first podcast so I've got a few to go to catch up but I'm loving it so far, you know it's a good podcast when you look forward to the 45 minute drive to work. Brent and Travis have great personalities they make good points. Subscribe to the podcast you won't regret it!

Another superb comedy from a member of the stupidly talented McElroy family. With rhyming headlines, catchphrases in silly voices, a 'good news' section, and all the pop culture discussion you could want, this is news done the Millenial way. Love it. Boop boop a doop boop.

Enjoying a backlog of downloads! Linked to the podcast thru UK Radio 4?! Just a bit swear-y some of the time …. but then I have downloaded and deleted about 10 other discussion podcasts ‘cos they are much, much worse!! Don’t always agree with all opinions - but of course that is totally not the point, enjoy the rational discussions, considering other opinions that I may find are better informed than my own and that digging a bit deeper into stuff. Thanks!
