A young traffic controller, Conrad, makes a slight error, which ends in catastrophe aboard the orbiting Spacehub transit terminal. Alan launches Thunderbird 3 and is able to buy Conrad time by providing him additional oxygen. A full rescue, however, requires the assistance of Virgil and Thunderbird 2. With Brains' help, Thunderbird 2 gets retrofitted and launches into space. Virgil and Alan are then able to rescue Conrad from the Spacehub.
