Eve arrives at Gunn's island in the hope of recruiting Villanelle to her cause - to make a seismic stab at The Twelve, even if it results in their own deaths. Managing to escape Gunn, the two become aligned and follow a lead that Eve has to locate what appears to be an imminent meeting of The Twelve. Carolyn returns to the UK and is instantly reprimanded - the repercussions seem heavy until she manages to talk her way out of her situation. Utilising all the leverage she has, she manages to buy herself time to follow up on a lead so she can work her way back into MI6, otherwise the consequences may be dire. On their mission to The Twelve's meeting spot, Eve and Villanelle cross with Carolyn, who for once is one step behind them. Eve confronts her but instead of meeting Carolyn with animosity, she wants to thank her - if Carolyn hadn't recruited her to her taskforce, she'd still be living the plain, boring life she was accustomed to before the world of The Twelve crashed into hers. Carolyn agrees to let Eve and Villanelle proceed with their mission against The Twelve, realising there may be other avenues back into MI6. Eve and Villanelle locate The Twelve's meeting point - it's now or never.
