Carla (Judy Reyes) worries that she is losing her identity and as a result her daughter will not know her Latin heritage. Turk (Donald Faison) doesn't know how to assure his wife that their child will know about her lineage. Meanwhile, J.D. (Zach Braff) angers the staff when they realize that he uses nicknames because he doesn't know their real names -- the Janitor (Neil Flynn) challenges him to identify everyone in the hospital, if he can't J.D. must take up the mop for a day. Elsewhere, in a case of lost identity Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) realizes that he is lonely without his wife and children. Sarah Chalke and Ken Jenkins also star.
