When academic Andrew Marsh dies shortly after changing his will, Poirot decides that there are several motives for his possible murder. Before he died, Marsh asked Poirot to be executor of his new will in which he left his entire estate to his ward Violet. This leaves many expectant beneficiaries out in the cold and Poirot's suspicions of foul play deepen when the will mysteriously disappears.
