Officer Don takes Dick on a tour of the jail, and Dicks scandalized that little effort is being made to rehabilitate the prisoners. To make a point, he pays Eddies fine and takes responsibility for turning him into an upstanding citizen. Harrys nervous about a 500-word book report on Little Women thats required for his night school class. Tommy suggests buying Cliffs Notes and, when that idea doesnt work, renting the video. Pepper, Dr. Albrights dog, is disobedient and a nuisance. Since Pepper was a gift from Dick, she decides to give him back. The aliens are a little nervous about having Eddie for a houseguest. Dick finds him a job in the audio-visual department at the university but becomes furious and abusive when Eddie refuses to bend the rules and give him a projector that someone else has reserved. Dick doesnt want Pepper back but grudgingly orders Sally to take care of him. Sally cant control him and cant find anyone to give him to, so she and Dr. Albright guiltily take him to the dog pound in the Rambler. When Dick finds that the car is missing, he assumes that Eddie has stolen it and has Officer Don track him down and arrest him. Sally and Albright return from the pound with two new dogs and the Rambler, and it becomes clear that Officer Don has made a false arrest. Pepper returns, and now there are three dogs to contend with instead of one. Harry, unable to find a Little Women video, writes down the conflicting opinions of his study group, which he submits as his book report with questionable success.
