The library is holding a special story time for all the children. Thomas is to deliver the storybooks but is so excited that he doesn't wait for the books to be tied in place. He chuffs off very fast and ends up on a bumpy track where the storybooks bump high in the air and land in Farmer McColl’s field. Not wanting to let the children down, Thomas finds a different way to have story time.
