A stag weekend in the Scottish highlands turns into the holiday from hell in this darkly comic thriller from the producers of The Wrong Mans and Episodes. Featuring a strong international cast, Stag is tense, dramatic and full of black humour. Jim Howick stars as a meek school teacher who joins his future brother-in-law and several obnoxious friends on a deer-stalking expedition in the Scottish Highlands. As the hunting party realises they themselves are the prey, sordid secrets begin to emerge and old friendships are tested to the limit in a ruthless battle for survival.

Utterly Brilliant
A great satire. Anyone who doesn’t appreciate this hasn’t worked in the City. These are Hogarthian portraits of the people who work there and their sense of entitlement that they come from money, that they are entitled to more, and that nobody else counts in life. My only problem with it was that, ultimately, the series was too soft on them. They have no compassion at all.

Pathetic
Another example of a relatively good idea and decent cast completely wasted by halfway through the first episode - but you have no idea how poor it's going to end up. By the time you get to the finale, the lack of respect this production has for its audience is almost breathtaking. My worst purchase in more than a year on iTunes. Don't support such poor efforts with your money.
