Description
In 24, the entire season takes place in one day, with each of the 24 episodes covering one hour, told in real time. No sooner has Jack Bauer finished a game of chess with his daughter, Kimberly, on the morning of the presidential primary, when Kimberly sneaks out of the house and Jack, who heads up the government's Counter Terrorist Unit, is called to work immediately. He learns that an assassination attempt will be made on presidential candidate David Palmer. Meanwhile, Jack's wife, Teri, sets out to find their daughter.

Love 24 - cracking show. I'm loving the discounted price for the seasons at the moment too. £4.99 and in HD - this is more like it iTunes. Prices for non-current shows that are comparible with high street costs. More of this please.
HD version loses A LOT of image area

BE WARNED if you are buying the HD version. About 10% of the height and 10% of the width has been cropped out compared to the standard quality version. Lots is lost, it is such a downgrade when you are supposedly getting an upgrade. Don't stand for this.
Great show though, but the cropping for HD is not on.

The title of my review says everything there is to say, great script, great cast, great stories and compulsive viewing. Jack Bauer is quite simply the man you need in any crises. James Bond genera pales in comparison. The plots are worthy of Hitchcock and any other great great director of this action, thriller suspense genera. A cool price to, can't beat that. It's the next iTunes box set on my hit list. Life in CTU a perfect traveller for those long arduous journeys on a bus or a train.

Still without doubt, the best TV series ever to come out of the USA. If you are looking for real drama linked to believable events, superb twists, turns, incredible storylines and cliff hanger endings every episode, then 24 will give you 8 seasons of pure brilliance.

Nice idea but to pad it out they keep making the main characters constantly do the wrong things. It gets to you after a while, in fairness Darwin does kick in, when they don't look crossing the road they do get run over. But you can start predicting their actions by thinking about what's the most stupid thing they could they do and Wow they do it! Try vintage TV series like "edge of darkness" you won't predict what's going to happen in that. Good production values and some of the acting is good but flawed.

Taken on it's own merit it's a very good TV show. However, I was expecting so much more from this after hearing about it for so long. It's good to watch and not one you should miss but it's quite predictable and it's always trying to be the complete opposite.

Warning: DO NOT read the blurb for series 2 on itunes before you watch the first series. Why? It gives one of the major twists from series 1 away. Otherwise fantastic but yes it can be found cheaper.

I would like to buy this show for my ipod and watch it. I have never watched it but i have read so many reviews that say how great it is, but the price of TV shows on itunes are too high. If it was around about £15 or lower then i wouldn't think twice and buy it. The dvd boxset is £17.99 on hmv.co.uk
iTunes needs to rethink the pricings on here, they are far too overpriced! if you agree vote yes.
Watch episode 1 and be prepared to be at ur tv for another 23 hours!

I remember being shown the recording of the first episode of this show at a friends house back when it first aired on British TV on channel four, before Sky took over. I was instanly hooked! With all its twists and turns it is a fantastic show and series 1 is arguably the best just because it was a new idea at the time. Every character is amazingly realized and each has their own agenda and motivations, the revelations of which are something to behold towards the end of the story.
Like other people on here, my advice is the buy the DVD release at much cheaper rates.
However, and I've said this before, many, many times here and elsewhere:
1. The iTunes price is only decided by Apple in part, more control on this is exerted by the film studios who are charging Apple extortionate rates to sell their material on the Music Store.
2. The TV studios also set the price of the DVD's sold in shops.
3. If the music store price was lower than the DVD price, it would severely impact DVD sales, just as the low prices for digitally downloaded music have actually closed high street record shops. The studios would then be at Apple's mercy!
4. Do you really believe that Apple, or any other business that is as successful, is in the habit of deliberately pricing themselves out of the market?
So please, stop being so short sighted and blindly engaging in "Apple Bashing". Care to join me in a game of "Warner Bros Bashing" instead?

I am so glad I have at least 5 more series to go! I bought the episodes one at the time which was not cost effective. My recommendation is if you like the first episode (you definitely will) then buy the series all in one go. Its cheaper and you can watch as many episodes as you like without waiting for downloads...

Loved every minute of it but now where are seasons 2-5? come on iTunes i hate it when you only post selected seasons. lots of people want to watch seasons in order, might be a give away in season 6 about seasons 2-5 so why buy it now. PLEASE add missing seasons

24 is perfect television; pacey, ridiculous, OTT and exciting! However, as many people have said, the price is outrageous, even by Apple standards! You can pick Season 1-4 up from anything between £16.99 to £27.99. Although Play had it at about 30.99 not long ago. There is no box art, no packaging, nothing - it's a download! Come on iTunes and Apple, drop these stupid prices - you already make us all pay premiums for your hardware

Fantastic series, I've been hooked ever since wathching it on BBC and like how they introduce new characters throughout them. As far as season 1 goes I thoroughly enjoyed it and would put it as my second favourite behind season 4. That said however, i wouldnt ever pay £31 for it, even a quick search on ebay says I can get it for £17.99 Buy it Now with discs and box. 3/5 stars purely for the outragous price.

This is without doubt one of the greatest and most innovative series ever to appear on TV and is also one that has made Kiefer Sutherland a house-hold name in the process. This debut season is arguable the best as it set the bench mark for subsequent series; moreover, its twists and turns throughout its entirety make it a definate must watch.
This season is set on the day of a Presidential Primary and Jack must protect Senetor David Palmer from an assassination plot, and rescue his family from those responsible for the plot, who seek retribution for Jack's and David Palmer's involvement with a covert US mission in the Balkans.
This is a definate must watch!

24 is possibly the most sublime TV watching experience imaginable, and finally you can watch it on the go, which is not essential but does help with when you have to leave the house in the middle.
Nothing quite compares to 24 when it comes to excitement levels and lead character awesomeness. I defy you to be able to stop watching without a long fight with yourself. The only downside to this versus the DVD (apart from the price) is that at least with a DVD you have to change a disc, which is a chance to escape back to real life. If you buy this, set aside the 18+ hours required to watch it stat to finish, coz you will.
In closing, WHY THE HELL CAN YOU ONLY GET SEASON 1 and 6?!!!! you MUST see the series in order otherwise it won't work!!
