Description
Gavin is an ordinary boy from England; Stacey is an ordinary girl from Wales. They spoke on the phone every day at work and then they finally met, fell in love, and got married. Following their honeymoon, the happy couple are living with Gavin's parents in Essex until they can get a place of their own. While Gavin won't even consider moving to Barry, Stacey feels bad for leaving her family and wants to be there to support her newly pregnant best friend Nessa. And Nessa has a bombshell of her own when she finally has to tell Smithy that he is the father of the child she is carrying. Will Smithy be able to cope with the news?

Terribly unfunny. Hampered by a cast of unlikeable characters (the marvellous Rob Brydon's being the exception). Next to Dr Who its the biggest waste of licence fee money ever.
Its popularity is a sad indictment of the current state of British popular culture.

A great start to a brilliant series. This is a very funny comedy packed with strange and fun characters one funnier than the last. It’s British comedy at its very best. I’d urge you to get all episodes. It’s worth it and you won’t be sorry.

This is the best comedy I have seen in my life. The writing by Corden and Jones is fantastic. Rob Brydon as Bryn is the funniest thing ever. Easily worth buying as guaranteed to make you laugh. Five Stars.

I saw the christmas special of this show, having not seen any of the series, and found it hilarious. i bought both series straight away and it is one of the funniest shows i have ever seen. it is so brilliant. Ness and Smithy are comedy legends. best thing on TV right now. Buy it!!!

Why would you buy this from itunes for £12 when all you get are the episodes? The DVD sells for £10 in supermarkets up and down the land and includes extras. If you don't know how to convert DVD's to your ipod then google for help: it's very easy. This series is brilliant and even better then the first, but I can't understand why anyone would pay MORE to down load it then own the DVD.

Both series 1 and 2 of Gavin and Stacey are definately worth a watch. Hardly groundbreaking stuff but all the same a genuinely funny show with likeable characters, real life situations and some laugh out loud moments as well as really touching scenes (I had tears in my eyes when Bryn was reading her dad's letter to Stacey on her wedding day in series 1).
It may be expensive to buy from itunes but I bought them to watch whilst travelling on my holiday and it was the perfect distraction and way to pass time on a five hour flight.

Can't fault this series...it's top of my playlist! The casting is just right and I really want to know what happened on the 'fishing trip' that involved Uncle Bryn and Jason...and why the 'soup/gravity' mention???!!! Is there going to be a 3rd series?...Please say there is going to be another series, Ruth Jones is 'amazing' (she's just as funny in Saxondale...shares top place on my playlist) and James Corden has so much talent. They've produced a gem of a show between them and every single person in the show is a star in their own right, well done guys!!!!
