Didn't know much about Rommel. This was very interesting.

I found the series very interesting and well presented.

I must tell the truth: I downloaded this three part documentary on Rommel because there's so little else on iTunes in the non-fiction section. I didn't know ANYTHING about this German General at first and, by the end, i know much more than that. The great thing about it was the way they had tracked down a great number of people who had known Rommel, and even members of his family -- such as his son. If the films lack anything, it's that they don't have much of a narrative backbone, or draw conclusions. But for a lot of viewers that will be a draw, and in a way it is -- ie that there isn't some breathless narrator like Dan Cruikshank overlaying their character on the story, a story which tells itself as you go along.

One of the most outstanding soldiers in history, well worth a watch .
