This is some of the greatest British comedy ever made, but sadly only existed on video tape.

This version has been remastered to the point where it is far worse than it was before they remastered it. Actually hard to watch.

The unremastered version is also available on this site and I strongly recommend it compared to this mess.

I rate this comedy in the top three of all time, it just cracks me up every time, John Cleese of course is a master of comedy, up there with the likes of Tony Hancock and all the greats. I’ll just say this, if you can’t laugh at this wonderful comedy you have no sense of humour.

Fawlty Towers is the best tv programme ever made and I especially like the one with the Germans and they talk about the war

U have to watch it

My parents love this show and I've always caught bits and bobs from them watching it, always found it hilarious and thanks to Apple TV I've started going through series that I missed.. Currently half way through Friends, and I'm so glad I just stumbled across these, really looking forward to watching the lot.

I have been watching Fawlty Towers since childhood. My Dad used to work in the kitchens in the 70s when alot of the staff were Spanish and he knew many Manuels! That always cracked him up. Don't under estimate Basil and Sybil's brilliant mid life crisis marriage. It's utterly brilliantly done! A couple of reviewers don't understand farce, comedy has many facets. Paolo, this is a very British comedy. It's the age of the download and its still going strong. So there.

This is true British comedy. It has stood the test of time and become even funnier. John Cleese really gets into role as rude hotel manager, with his punch lines. A true British comedy. Defo worth the money!

The series is faultless - an all-time classic.

However, I've docked a star, because the title of the collection contains the word "remastered", yet the episodes have the same blurred, faded appearance that they've always had (and I have watched it hundreds of times - I would definitely notice the slightest improvement).

Truly great comedies really are few and far between but this really has stood the test of time. The word genius is banded around far, far too often in this day and age but THIS fulfils every criteria required for being bestowed the masterpiece tag. I'm afraid Paul Addison I agree with my fellow reviewer. You have no idea what comedy is. Having said that, it's all down to personal preference. The fact that you don't like it is fair enough (albeit rather odd) but to give this national treasure one star based on your personal preference I would suggest is not what reviewing is all about. Love it or hate it, it's greatness cannot be denied and every time I watch this, like many many other people I laugh like a drain. Utter genius and I, like most professional reviews give this the 5 star rating it deserves.

Brilliantly funny

fab tv series it really funny one of my favourites i tunes should also put old comedy shows like Hi- De- Hi, Are you being served, Allo Allo, etc as lots of people you love to download them as they are old classics.

This show, is true British comedy. Buy this now. It may be old, but is absolutely hilarious, plus it's been remastered! :)

John cleese's role as an ilmannered and bad tempered hotel manager plays host to hilarious gags and punchlines making this undoubtedly one of many shining examples of British comedy.

This show is massively overrated and not in the least bit amusing. It's also incredibly dated and over-acted.

Amazing, definitely worth buying!:)
