Could someone explain why episode 9 is not yet available on iTune???

Great TV programme, only having to download it from iTunes because I missed the broadcast and ITV player seems to never work! Maybe ITV deliberately make it impossibly to watch online without buffering every 30 seconds so people will be forced to pay to download it!

Amazing as usual. Some great episodes and the tension is palpable along the way. Loved it!

It's just heaven on earth. I adore the series so much, takes me into another world. Gripping, exciting. Who ver said it was predictable? Not a chance!

I have downloaded all series 1,2,3 so far and waiting for the next episode to automatically update my iTunes purchase. It's worth every single penny.

Series 3 is a great follow-up to series 1 and 2 (and the Christmas edition), and the story continues to be gripping, with the costuming, setting and acting first class.

I hope there is a series 4 to come!

The acting is brilliant especially Dame Maggie Smith's and her one liners are simply brilliant, plots are so well put together with you not feeling that any characters are left out, Julian fellowes is a genius, I absolutely LOVE it :D

This series is so over-rated. Julian Fellowes scripts are so predictable, you can tell what is coming every time. The acting is good, there are some good characters, but this doesn't make it the jewel of British television that so many people seem to think it is.

Downloaded episode 4 and the sound is out of sync! What do I need to do?

After the debacle of having to wait so long for iTunes to provide access to Episode 3, I was pleased that Episode 4 has been made available so quickly.

I thought that the first three episodes were a little slow, with too much time spent clearing up loose ends from Series 2. Episode 4 was much more enjoyable and interesting with new story lines opening up. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series and hope that iTunes will continue to make episodes available very quickly after they've aired on television.

Thanks for episode 3! Best of the programme since series 1.

As someone who purchased a season pass I am extremely disappointed with the service by iTunes. It released the first two episodes soon after it was aired to lure users into purchasing the season pass. Once they did, iTunes is taking it's own cool time to upload it - very cunning indeed. Pity that Apple is willing to lose it's brand loyalty by delaying this. Also you are encouraging illegal downloading. This is truly penalizing those who want to do the right thing by purchasing the episodes. Will never buy a season pass again.

Could we please have an explanation regarding the delay to episode 3?

This unexplained delay is a real bad show iTunes. If you are selling season passes then you need to have a set date that you will release the episodes and not just add them when you can. This isn't a torrent site, it's an official genuine 'legal' store. Apple has gone down in my opinion recently. I hope it isn't the start of a slippery slope.

Do you know what you're doing to us???? You give us the option of watching the most addictive thing on TV and then you ruin our lives by holding back the third episode for days!!! What have we done to deserve this?? I feel like the child that Santa forgot on christmas day. Come on iTunes, just give it to us and all is forgiven.... Pleeeeaseee....

iTunes Support told me it was down to ITV when they release Episode 3. That's pretty poor show. We have paid a lot of money to watch it without the adverts.

It's now three days later. I've now finally watched it abroad via ITV Player via my daughter's UK internet address. I don't care that you know this, I've PAID for the SERIES PASS. I had to watch it in inferior quality, audio OK, but video with very regular freezes. I paid for a Series Pass to avoid the adverts!!!, let alone the freezes!! I'm really, really disappointed in the totally shoddy service of iTunes and Apple, in not informing us, other than through Support that it was down to ITV when they release an episode, why there is this delay. WHY CAN'T YOU INFORM US, HERE, ON ITUNES, IN THIS FORUM??? I'm going to ask for a refund of my Series Pass payment, it's not worth it, i'd rather suffer the adverts, I can receive the show here in real time, rather than keep checking if it's available in iTunes, and not knowing which evening I'll be able to watch it. This is the worst customer experience I've ever had. Such a slick site, such awful service.

Where is episode 3 - its very unfortunate it has not been available - what is more unfortunate is that there has been no response to the many posts asking this same question. Come on apple don't drop the ball now.

Well after an unexplained 48h delay, episode 3 of this brilliant series has finally been spoiled for me. Now I know everything that happens at Edith's wedding and more. Thanks Apple for ruining this experience! Way to promote illegal downloading (and treat your paying customers).

This is one of the worst User Experiences I have had with with an industry leading technology company. I know for a fact that you employ experts to advise you on the best user experience to build loyalty with and to please your customers. It only takes an experience like this to leave a bad taste in peoples mouths and to question their band loyalty. You also ask people to pay up front for the entire series what are you doing with that money if you aren't providing what people paid for? We all deserve a partial refund until you can regularly supply the episodes. From Disappointed.

Last week the new episode was online a few minutes after midnight… The delay of episode 3 is most unfortunate… And two days after the original broadcast it`s not funny at all to still wait for it. Dear Apple, we paid for this!

That said -- a fantastic series so far and I actually think I prefer it to series 2! It's nice to stay grounded! 3 episodes down and we haven't skipped 5 years!

Where is episode 3, not really fair to keep us waiting once we have paid for the series with out an explanation. Not sure I will be buying much more from iTunes. The new MacBook Pro purchase is definitely on hold until apple get back to normal.

In the past there have been some UK series where we sometimes have had to wait 7 days as some of the UK broadcasters want to give exclusivity to their online players for a week before releasing the episodes to iTunes. Maybe ITV realised that this didn't happen for episode 1 and 2 and have now put their foot down. Let's hope not though as it's already proving hard to stay away from spoilers!

Is it a habit of iTunes UK to have such a long lag after a programmed has been screened on TV? The US iTunes get their downloads the day after it has been shown and is available for download immediately. I thought I'd have assured quality and better timing since I purchased the series but now it seems I could have saved myself some money and just searched the web for downloads. At least they are consistent and its even in HD ! Honestly, iTunes UK - if you want us to be good customers, you gotta deliver the goods !

Downton Abbey is the very best in TV drama and I am a total devotee to this superbly executed series. I look forward to watching Downton Abbey as soon as an episode is available for downloading. So why have iTunes decided to delay the release of episode 3. I just hope this trend does not continue.

Agree with other customers comments, what is happening to iTunes service? if you are having problems then communicate it on the site don't just do nothing? a lot of people are waiting eagerly for episode 3 and given it's popularity someone at iTunes should be monitoring this…….otherwise why pay for it? will iTunes be offering refunds?

Love the program, not loving itunes slow service. Why pay for a pass and have the legal episodes, when illegal streaming/download is faster? ... mmm
