I have been a fan ever since Ys. I thought Have One On Me had some good songs but was overlong, however Divers is extraordinary and an album to listen to time and time again and here something new. I saw Joanna on Jools Holland's Later and unfortunately she ony did the one song and it wasn't the title song which is simply beautiful.

I've had Waltz of the 101st Lightborne stuck in my head for the last week and it doesn't look like it will be leaving there anytime soon. The album has what we have come to expect from Joanna Newsom: spellbinding melodies, exceptional vocals, profound lyrics and eclectic instrumentals.

This album really is a delight.

Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat, please put this CD in this old mans hat. No idea what she is saying, even less what she means, but what a wonderful way to spend your time, entwined in her twinkle twangle harp. Love it!
